Pingyin County Pingyin County, belonging to Jinan City, Shandong Province, also known as "Meicheng", is located in the west of Shandong Province, 60 kilometers away from Jinan City, the provincial capital, and borders on Feicheng, Dongping, donga, Changqing and other counties (cities). It is between 116 ° 12 ′ - 116 ° 27 ′ E and 36 ° 1 ′ - 36 ° 23 ′ n, covering a total area of 827 square kilometers.

The name of Pingyin first appeared in Zuo Zhuan and got its name because it was located in the Yin of ancient Dongyuan.
History of construction
Pingyin has a long history. The Dawenkou and Longshan cultural sites found in Pingyin prove that human activities existed as early as the late primitive society (Neolithic Age).
The Xia and Shang Dynasties (from the 21st century to the 11th century) were the northern territory of the youstill tribe. From the Western Zhou Dynasty to the early spring and Autumn period, it was the northern part of Lu. After the mid spring and Autumn period, it belonged to Qi. In the early Qin Dynasty, it belonged to Dongjun and later to Jibei. The Western Han Dynasty (206 bc-8 BC) belonged to Lu County, Taishan County, Yanzhou.
In the Eastern Han Dynasty, Pingyin County was set up in Jianwu, belonging to Jibei state.
Three Kingdoms Wei Jin Tai'an two years (303) belong to Yanzhou Jibei state.
After the change of emperor Huaidi Yongjia, Pingyin was occupied by houzhao, Qianyan, qianqin, Houyan and Nanyan. Liu Yuping was incorporated into Lu county from Nanyan in 409 to Yongchu in 420, belonging to Jibei County of Yanzhou. From the 10th year of Taiping Zhenjun in the Northern Wei Dynasty (449) to the 3rd year of Wuping in the Northern Qi Dynasty (572), they all belong to Jibei County of Jeju.
In the 16th year of kaihuang (596) of Sui Dynasty, Yushan County was set up; in the 2nd year of Daye (606), Pingyin County was renamed, belonging to Jibei county.
The fourth year of Wude in Tang Dynasty (621) belongs to Jeju. The first year of Zhenguan (627) divided the world into ten Daos, and Pingyin belonged to Yunzhou, Henan Province. Kaiyuan 29th year (741) belongs to Henan Province. In the sixth year of Dahe (832), Pingyin County was removed and divided into Lu county and Dong'e County; in the second year of Kaicheng (837), Pingyin County was restored, belonging to Dongping County of Yunzhou.
From 908 to 959, the second year of Kaiping in the late Liang Dynasty to the sixth year of Xiande in the late Zhou Dynasty, all belonged to Yunzhou.
It belonged to Yunzhou in Jingdong road in the third year of Zhidao (997), Yunzhou in Jingdong West Road in the seventh year of Xining (1074), and Dongping mansion in Xuanhe (1119-1125).

In the first year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (1368), it belonged to Dongping government of Shangdong Province, and later to Yanzhou government of Chengxuan. The 13th year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (1380) belongs to Yanzhou Prefecture of Dongyan road. In 1735, it belonged to Tai'an Prefecture.
In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), the Republic of China was founded, belonging to Tai'an Prefecture. In the second year of the Republic of China (1913), the prefectures and prefectures were abolished. In 1914, the name of Dao was changed to Donglin Dao. In October 1925, the administrative division of Shandong provincial road was adjusted, belonging to Tai'an road. In 1928, Daoism was abolished in the province. In 1938, it was the first administrative supervision district in Shandong Province. From the victory of the Anti Japanese War to September 1948, it was the sixth administrative supervision area of Shandong Province.
During the period of Japanese puppet rule, it belonged to Luxi road in Shandong Province from May 1938 to June 1940, and Tai'an road from June 1940 to August 1945.
After the outbreak of the Anti Japanese War, the Anti Japanese democratic government of Pingyin County was established in October 1939, under the Taixi Administrative Committee (later changed to the Taixi administrative inspector's office). In April 1940, it belonged to the Taixi special office of Luxi executive director's Office (later called the first special office of Luxi). In March 1943, the Anti Japanese democratic government of Pingyin County merged with Adong office to establish the Anti Japanese democratic government of pinga County, which belongs to the 16th special office of Shanxi Hebei Shandong Henan border region. In May 1944, it was the first special office of Hebei Shandong Henan border region. In October 1945, pinga county was abolished and Pingyin County was restored. In July 1948, it belonged to the seventh High Commissioner's office in central and southern Shandong Province (renamed Taixi special office in April 1949).
On October 1, 1949, after the founding of the people's Republic of China, it belonged to the Taixi special region. In May 1950, it belongs to Tai'an district. On January 30, 1959, Pingyin County was abolished and merged into Dongping County, which was assigned to Liaocheng district; on September 14, Pingyin County was restored and assigned to Jinan City. On January 22, 1960, it was assigned to Heze district; on March 28, 1960, it was assigned to Jinan City. On July 22, 1961, it was assigned to Tai'an district.
On March 27, 1985, it returned to Jinan.

In Pingyin, the number of households was 16 Li in the early Ming Dynasty, and then increased to 19 Li.
In 1808, the county was divided into four townships (Yongning Township in the north, Shunde Township in the East, Anle Township in the south, Xining Township in the West) and 26 Li, with jurisdiction over 286 villages.
In 1895, the county was divided into 24 Li with 328 villages under its jurisdiction. Among them, the south of the Yellow River is 12 Li, which governs 192 villages.
In 1933, the county was divided into 5 districts, 11 towns, 181 townships and 365 villages. Among them, there are 3 districts in the south of the Yellow River, with jurisdiction over 8 towns and 110 townships.
In October 1939, the Anti Japanese democratic government of Pingyin County was established, with six districts.
In December 1942, it was divided into seven districts.
In November 1946, the four districts (niujiaodian) and five districts (Danzhen) in the north of the Yellow River were designated as a whole. The democratic government of Pingyin County is divided into four districts: one (Dong'e), two (Xiagou), three (Xiaozhi) and four (luanwan).
In March 1948, the county set up 62 joint defense films, including 15 in the first district, 10 in the Second District, 25 in the third district and 12 in the fourth district.
In October 1949, the county was reorganized into six districts, and the joint defense film was abolished, with 88 small townships under the district.
In 1952, the county was reorganized into seven districts and one town (Dong'e), with five new districts (Dingkou) and seven new districts (old counties) under the jurisdiction of 59 townships.
In June 1956, the districts were withdrawn and the townships were merged. One town in seven districts and 59 small townships were merged into 21 townships.
On April 22, 1958, the nine townships of Sanhuang, maopu, diaoshanpo, Dingkou, Taihe, shikoushan, shibeizi, Jicheng and Huangpo were abolished, and the Dazhan township was newly established and adjusted to 13 townships.
On September 21, 1958, the whole county was merged from 13 townships into 8 townships: Yinzhuang township was merged into Chengguan Township, Ancheng Township into luanwan Township, Dazhan Township into Xiagou Township, Kongcun Township and dianzi Township into Xiaozhi Township, and the zoning of Hongfan, Ligou, Jiuxian and donga township (town) remained unchanged. In early October of the same year, eight townships were transformed into eight people's communes.
On October 16, 1958, eight people's communes were merged into five (Hongfan and Jiuxian were merged into Dong'e commune, Ligou into Xiagou commune, Xiaozhi, Chengguan and luanwan were not moved). On November 28, luanwan commune was merged into Chengguan commune, and four people's communes were set up in the county, namely Chengguan commune, Dong'e commune, Xiagou commune and Xiaozhi commune.
On January 30, 1959, Pingyin County was merged into Dongping county. On September 14, Pingyin County was restored, and four communes in Dongping County, including Jieshan, Dayang, hualandian and ShuiHe, were put under the jurisdiction of Pingyin County. On September 26, Xiaoli commune of Changqing County was transferred to Pingyin County. On February 13, 1960, Xiagou commune was changed into rose commune. In March and July 1961, huanghuayuan commune and Sucheng commune in Liangshan County were successively assigned to Pingyin County, and now the county has jurisdiction over 11 communes. On October 5, Jieshan, Dayang, hualandian, ShuiHe, huanghuayuan and Sucheng communes were assigned to Dongping County, while Xiaoli commune was assigned to Changqing County. Pingyin County governs 4 people's communes and 325 production teams.
On February 14, 1962, four communes were adjusted to eight. In March 1963, six communes were set up in Ancheng, Kongji, Ligou, Dianzi, Taihe and dongsanli. So far, there are 14 communes in the county. On May 23, Taihe commune was merged into Dong'e commune, and dongsanli commune was merged into Chengguan commune. There are 12 communes in the county, with 364 production teams and 2290 production teams under its jurisdiction.
On March 27, 1976, there were 52 administrative areas in 12 communes of the county.
