Historical evolution
Before liberation
"Luolong" means "nangu" or "Nanchuan" in Tibetan.
In the Tang Dynasty, it was a territory of Tubo.
In the Yuan Dynasty, it was subordinate to the Marshal's office of xuanweishi Sidu of Tubo and other roads.
It belongs to Changdu temple in the late Ming Dynasty.
In 1725, the Emperor Yongzheng of the Qing Dynasty gave the Luolong sect to Dala Lama as a place for giving alms, which was directly under the jurisdiction of the local government of Tibet. Later, the living Buddha Gongdelin went to the mainland to see the emperor for meritorious service. The local government of Tibet transferred the jurisdiction of Shuodu sect to Gongdelin, which was directly appointed by Gongdelin. The Luolong clan is still under the jurisdiction of the Tibetan landlord government, and the original clan is appointed by the local government every three years.
After liberation
In November 1950, the liberation committees of luolongzong and shuoduzong were established respectively under the jurisdiction of Changdu District liberation Committee.
In November 1959, Luolong Zong and Shuodu Zong merged and established Luolong County, which was subordinate to Changdu area. The county site was moved from Kangsha to zituo town.
In 1997, it covered an area of 8098.4 square kilometers and had a population of 40000. It has jurisdiction over 1 town and 11 townships: zituo Town, Zhongyi Township, Shuodu Township, lajiu Township, Kangsha Township, Mali Township, Baida Township, Yuxi Township, Jiawa Township, exi Township, Dalong Township and Xinrong Township, with a total of 77 administrative villages. In 2000, Luolong county had jurisdiction over two towns and nine townships.
