Qianjiang district is subordinate to Chongqing, located in the southeast of Chongqing and the hinterland of Wuling mountain area. It is known as "the throat of Chongqing and Hubei". It integrates the old revolutionary base areas, ethnic areas, remote mountainous areas and key counties of national poverty alleviation and development.
Qianjiang District has 6 streets, 15 towns and 9 townships, covering an area of 2402 square kilometers. At the end of 2017, the resident population in Qianjiang district was 477 thousand and 600, the registered residence population was 554 thousand and 500, and the gross domestic product was 23 billion 187 million yuan.
Qianjiang District has won the honorary titles of national agricultural standardization demonstration county, national rural drinking water safety project demonstration county, National Safe Railway demonstration area, national industry city integration demonstration area, National Health City, etc.
In October 2017, Qianjiang District passed the national special assessment and inspection, and was officially approved by Chongqing Municipal People's government to withdraw from poverty-stricken areas and counties. On October 9, 2020, it was awarded the title of the fourth batch of national ecological civilization construction demonstration cities and counties by the Ministry of ecological environment; on October 20, it was selected into the list of national double support model cities (counties).
Evolution of organizational system
Qianjiang, Yugong is the territory of Liangzhou. The Shang and Zhou dynasties were the territories of Baipu and ba. Qin belongs to Bajun.
Fuling County in the early Han Dynasty. In the first year of Jianyuan (140 BC), Emperor Wu of the Western Han Dynasty set up Fuling County in Bajun, Liangzhou. In the fifth year of Yuanfeng (106 BC), Liangzhou was changed into Yizhou, belonging to the Department of governor of Yizhou. In 201, the sixth year of Jian'an, Emperor Xian of the Eastern Han Dynasty, Fuling county was divided into Fuling County, Yongning County, Danxing county and Hanjia county. Danxing county is located in Nanhai City neighborhood committee (nanmuping in ancient times).
Danxing county is still used in the Three Kingdoms. In 249, Xu Ju, a Fuling native, killed Duwei, then sent General Deng Zhi to fight against him, and Xu died. After that, they moved thousands of families, including Xu, Lin, Xie and fan, to Chengdu.
In the Western Jin Dynasty, in the sixth year of Emperor Wu Xianning (AD 280), Fuling county was divided into four counties: Fuling County, Hanjia County, Hanxia county and Hanping county. In 306, the first year of Guangxi in the Western Jin Dynasty, you, Xiu, Qian, Peng and other places "did not live in manliao", which lasted more than 250 years in song, Qi, Liang, Wei, Zhou and so on.
During the northern and Southern Dynasties, in the fourth year of Baoding (564) of Emperor Wu of the Northern Zhou Dynasty, Tian Sihe, the leader of Fuling ethnic minorities, attached himself to the land and became a member of the Central Plains Dynasty, and established Fengzhou in Pengshui.
Sui Dynasty, Emperor Wen kaihuang five years (585), home Shicheng County, and home Yongzhou. Yangdi Daye three years (607), waste Yongzhou, Shicheng County under Badong County.
In the Tang Dynasty, the first year of Wude of Gaozu (618), Shicheng County was changed to Qianzhou, and its county governance was transferred to Wuci city. Later, Qianzhou was changed into Qianzhong County, with jurisdiction over Pengshui, Hongdu, Yangshui, Yongning and Shicheng. In 630, Taizong moved back to nanmuping. Xuanzong Tianbao first year (742), renamed Qianjiang, belongs to Qian'an county (Qianzhou).
During the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period, Qianjiang belonged to Qianzhou. In the fifth year of Changxing (935), Meng Zhixiang occupied Shu and Qianzhou.
In the Southern Song Dynasty, in 1228, Qianzhou was promoted to Shaoqing Prefecture, and Qianjiang county was subordinate to Shaoqing Prefecture.
In the Yuan Dynasty, in the 22nd year of the reign of emperor Shizu to the Yuan Dynasty (1285), Yuzhen of the Ming dynasty ruled Sichuan and became emperor for 10 years, with Qianjiang County as its territory.
In the Ming Dynasty, the fifth year of Hongwu (1372) of Taizu, Lanyu conquered Guizhou Province and Qianjiang province entered Pengshui County. In 1378, Lanyu once again enlisted in Guizhou, where 1216 officers and soldiers were stationed, and Qianjiang garrison was set up. In 1381, Qianjiang county was restored. Qianjiang garrison, which belonged to Chongqing Wei, lasted for 275 years.
In the early Qing Dynasty, Qianjiang County belonged to Chongqing government. In the first year of Kangxi (1662), Qianjiang garrison was changed into qianpengying, guarding Qianjiang, Pengshui and other counties, and governing Youyang, shiye, PingCha and Yimei. In 1726, Qianjiang county was changed into Qianjiang hall. Yongzheng 12 years (1734), including Pengshui County was promoted to Guizhou pengzhili hall. In 1735, the chieftain of Youyang set up Youyang Zhili Prefecture, abolished qianpeng Zhili hall, and restored Qianjiang County, which belongs to Youyang Zhili Prefecture. On November 13, 1911, a military government was established in Qianjiang.
After the founding of the Republic of China, the government, prefecture and department were abolished, and Qianjiang was directly under the province. During the period of "defense area system" in Sichuan, Qianjiang belonged to Liuxiang defense area. In 1935, it was the eighth Office of the Sichuan Provincial Commissioner of administrative supervision (Youyang special office). In October 1945, the appeasement Office of the Sichuan Guizhou Hunan Hubei border region was established, which was stationed in Qianjiang.
After the founding of the people's Republic of China, the people's Government of Qianjiang county was established on November 25, 1949, under the jurisdiction of East Sichuan administrative region. On January 23, 1950, it set up Youyang special area and led Youyang, Xiushan and Qianjiang counties. In September 1952, Youyang special area was merged into Fuling special area, and Qianjiang then belonged to Fuling special area. In November 1983, with the approval of the State Council, Qianjiang county was abolished and Qianjiang Tujia and Miao Autonomous County was established. On May 18, 1988, with the approval of the State Council, Qianjiang Prefecture of Sichuan Province was established, with jurisdiction over Shizhu County, Pengshui County, Qianjiang County, Youyang County and Xiushan County. In 1998, Qianjiang Development Zone was established in Chongqing. In June 2000, Qianjiang Development Zone and Qianjiang Autonomous County of Chongqing were abolished and Qianjiang District of Chongqing was established at the administrative department (bureau) level.

In November 2001, Qianjiang District adjusted the township to 3 sub district offices, 15 towns and 12 townships. Seven townships remain unchanged: Pengdong Township, etc. Zhoubai town was established by merging zhoubai and Xianba townships; Zhuoshui Town, zhuoxi Township and Puhua township was established by merging Zhuoshui town; Jinxi town was established by merging Jinxi Township and Pingxi township; Heixi town was established by merging Heixi Township and Baihe township; ECHI town was established by merging ECHI Township and Xuetang township; Huangxi town was established by merging Huangxi Township and Xinmin Township; Xiaonan town was established by merging Nanhai Township and Houba township Lishui town was established by merging Lishui Township and Xinhua township; lin'e township was changed into lin'e township; xipao township was merged into Shaba township; Zaohua township was merged into Jindong township; Yangliu Township and Xin'an Township were merged into Shuishi township; Zhaizi township was merged into Fengjia township; Guan Zhuang township was merged into Mala township; Liwan township was merged into Lianghe town.

Chengdong Street
Chengdong street is located in the middle of Qianjiang District, covering an area of 50 square kilometers. Jurisdiction Wenhui, Nanhai City, guanba, Shicheng, Xiaba, Shanmu, Jinqiao, Gaojian 8 communities. The office is located in Yucai Road, Shicheng community.
Chengnan Street
Chengnan street is located in the middle of Qianjiang District, covering an area of 70 square kilometers. There are 9 communities: Sha Ba, Nan Gou, Heishan, Nan Jia, Yi Xin, Qing Ping, Ru Jiao, perfume and cowboy. The office is located in Nangou road.
Chengxi Street
Chengxi street is located in the middle of Qianjiang District, where the district government is located. It covers an area of 89.734 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over seven communities including Xishan, shuijingwan, Yingbin, Dongtang, Tangfang, Dazhuang and ceshan, and one administrative village in Guanyun. The office is located in the west section of Xinhua Avenue.
Zhengyang Street
