Qingshanhu District, belonging to Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the east of Nanchang City, the downstream of Ganjiang River and the Bank of Qingshanhu lake, with an area of 127.6 square kilometers. In the sixth year of emperor Gaozu of Han Dynasty (201 BC), Guanying built a city in Nanchang, which is located in Huangcheng village, Jingdong Town, Qingshanhu district. Historical evolution
In the late Neolithic period (about 5000 years ago), there were relatively concentrated primitive settlements in Qingshanhu area. By 3000 years ago, the area from Qingyun Pu in the south to Aixi Lake in the north had become a densely populated area.
In Xia, Shang and Zhou dynasties, Qingshanhu District of Nanchang city belonged to the territory of Yangzhou (Shangshu Yugong). During the spring and Autumn period and the Warring States period, it belonged to the state of Chu (Annals of Nanchang Prefecture - Evolution table). After the first emperor of Qin unified the world, the region of Qingshanhu District in Nanchang city was divided into the territory of Jiujiang county (Tongdian).

In May 2000, Hufang, Tangshan, Taohua, Jingdong and other four townships were removed from their townships and built into towns.
