Tongguan District Tongguan District, subordinate to Tongling City, Anhui Province, is located in the south central part of Anhui Province, the southwest of Tongling City, and the lower reaches of the Yangtze River. Historical evolution
In 1952, Tongxing township was established in Chengguan District of Tongling County.
In September 1953, Tongguanshan office was established, belonging to Chengguan District of Tongling County.
In March 1954, Tongguanshan office was abolished and Tongguanshan district was established.
In April 1956, the first office and part of the second office of Tongguanshan district were merged into the first office, the third office and part of the second office were merged into the second office, and the fourth and fifth offices were merged into the third office (mopagou Office).
In July 1956, the Preparatory Office of Tongguanshan Municipal People's Committee was established on the basis of Tongguanshan district. It is divided into Henggang Township and Xiegong township of Tongling County, and is divided into shanshang first office, shanshang second office and broom ditch office.
In October 1956, Tongguanshan city was established. The first office and the second office were merged into Tongxing office and the third (broom ditch) office was renamed Xinglong office.
In February 1957, Tongxing Township and Henggang Township were merged into Tonggang township.
In April 1958, yangjiashan office was set up in yangjiashan area of Tongxing office. In May, the Henggang office was set up in the Henggang area of Xinglong office. So far, Tongguanshan has four offices and one Township, namely Tongxing, Xinglong, yangjiashan, Henggang and Tonggang.
In June 1958, Tongling County was abolished and incorporated into Tongguanshan City, which was renamed Tongling City. In September, Tongguan mountain area was established in Tongling City. Tongguanshan district has four offices, namely Xinglong, Henggang, Tongxing and yangjiashan, Tonggang Chaoying commune (formerly Tonggang township) and Chengguan rocket commune, laozhouupstream commune, Xihu commune and xuba satellite commune, which are included in Tongling County.
In April 1959, Tongling County was restored, and Tongling City abolished the establishment of Tongguan mountain area.
In May 1960, Tongxing town and Xinglong town were abolished and Tongling City People's commune was established. In July, it was renamed Tongguanshan people's commune.
In 1969, Hongxing district was established, with three streets of Shizishan, Fenghuangshan and Xinmiao. Tongling City abolished Hongqi Town and Hongguang town and established Xiangyang District.
In July 1980, Hongxing district was renamed Shizishan district. Xiangyang District was renamed Tongguan mountain area.
In October 2015, the State Council approved the cancellation of Tongguanshan district and Shizishan District in Tongling City and the establishment of Tongguan district.

Evergreen forest is mainly composed of Cyclobalanopsis glauca, Quercus, Melia azedarach, Cinnamomum camphora, etc. The deciduous forests are Sassafras, Liquidambar formosana, Quercus alba, etc. In addition, Pinus massoniana, Cunninghamia lanceolata and Phyllostachys pubescens are also widely distributed.
