Yichun Yichun is a prefecture level city in Heilongjiang Province, an important eco-tourism city in northern China and a central city in northeast Heilongjiang Province approved by the State Council. The city has jurisdiction over four municipal districts, one county-level city and five counties, with a total area of 32800.29 square kilometers and a total population of 1124360 in 2019.
Yichun city is located in Northeast China and northeast of Heilongjiang Province. It is adjacent to Hegang City and Jiamusi City in the East, Harbin City in the south, Heihe City and Suihua City in the west, Amur state and Jew state in Russia in the north, and the boundary river is 245.9 km long.

Historical evolution
The history of Yichun can be traced back to the Zhou Dynasty, when it was the activity area of Sushen nationality. From the Warring States period to the northern and Southern Dynasties, it was the possession of Manhan and doumolou in yichungashan of raccoon dog, Fuyu and Kou. In the Sui and Tang Dynasties, Heishui department and Heishui Dufu, one of the seven Heishui departments, were established.
In the Liao and Song Dynasties, it belonged to the five kingdoms of daonuzhen in Tokyo. In the Jin Dynasty, Yichun was governed by Puhe Road, Huining Prefecture, Shangjing. Yuan belongs to shuidada road of Liaoyang province. In the Ming Dynasty, it was the jurisdiction of nuergan Dusi tunhewei. In the early Qing Dynasty, it was under the jurisdiction of ningguta angbang Zhangjing. In 1662 (the first year of Emperor Kangxi), ningguta angbang Zhang Jing was promoted to guard ningguta and other places, and Yichun belonged to it. In 1683, Heilongjiang general was set up in the northwest area under the jurisdiction of general ningguta, and Yichun was within its jurisdiction. In 1698, the vice capital of Qiqihar was set up under the Heilongjiang general, and Yichun was under its jurisdiction.
At the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, it was under the jurisdiction of Tangyuan county. After the occupation of Northeast China, the suijia railway was built in November 1941, and the Nancha Yichun section of Tanglin railway was built in July 1942. Japanese colonialists began to carry out plundering and indiscriminate logging. In the spring of 1945, the puppet Tangyuan County Office set up Yichun street in Yichun.
After the victory of the Anti Japanese War, it was under the jurisdiction of Nancha District of Tangyuan County in 1946, and Yichun town was set up in October 1949. Yichun forest industry administration was established in 1950, with five forest industry branches including Nancha. In order to meet the needs of the development of forest industry, the people's Government of Songjiang province reported the establishment of Yichun County in July 1952. On September 29 of the same year, the Ministry of civil affairs of the Northeast People's Government wrote: "with the approval of the central Ministry of internal affairs, it is agreed that Yichun forest area in Tangyuan county will be designated and Yichun county will be established, and the county government will be located in Yichun street.". There are 75000 people in the county, including Ding county. On December 1, Yichun county government was officially established, directly under the central government of Songjiang province. In July 1954, Xiaobai and Langxiang towns were put under the jurisdiction of Tieli county. In August of the same year, after the merger of the two provinces, Heilongjiang Province was directly under the central government.
On July 26, 1957, with the approval of the State Council, Yichun county was abolished and Yichun City (prefecture level) was established. The former administrative region of Yichun county was the administrative region of Yichun City, and the Municipal People's Committee was stationed in Yichun town. Yichun city is directly under the provincial government. On November 20 of the same year, the provincial people's Committee issued a notice to abolish the organizational system of 13 towns and Jialin Township in Yichun County, including Yichun and Nancha, and set up eight municipal districts, namely Yixin, Nancha, Gemini River, Wuying, dailing, Cuiluan, Meixi and Haolianghe. On February 13, 1958, Yichun people's Congress was held, Yichun city was officially established and Yichun county was abolished. In August of the same year, it was transferred to Songhuajiang district.
In 1960, Xinqing, Wuxing, Dafeng, Dongfeng, Hongxing, Shangganling, Wumahe and Daxilin were set up, with 16 districts under the jurisdiction of the city. In December 1962, 16 districts were adjusted to 11 districts, and five districts, Dongfeng, Hongxing, Shangganling, Wumahe and Daxilin, were abolished. In April of the next year, Wuxing district was abolished and merged into Wuying district.
On June 23, 1964, with the approval of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council, Yichun city was abolished and Yichun special economic zone was set up. The system of "integration of government and enterprise" was put on trial, and the "double leadership system" was implemented. The relevant enterprise work was mainly led by the Ministry of forestry, and the relevant local work was mainly led by the people's Committee of Heilongjiang Province. In December of the same year, wuminhe, Shangganling, Youhao, Dongfeng and Hongxing were set up. There were 15 districts in the whole city, basically one forestry bureau and one district, "government enterprise integration".
In April 1965, Yichun town and Yidong district were set up. In April 1966, Yidong district was abolished and merged into Wumin River District. On May 5, 1967, with the approval of the provincial Revolutionary Committee, Yichun Revolutionary Committee was established and Yichun special zone was abolished. In the same year, Wuyiling district was established and Yichun town was changed into Yichun district. In October 1969, Xilin district was set up; Haolianghe district was abolished and merged into Nancha district; Gemini River District was abolished and merged into friendship zone. On April 1, 1970, Yichun district was set up and the integration of prefecture and city was implemented. At the same time, Jiayin County in Heihe region and Tieli County in Suihua region were put under the jurisdiction of Yichun region. Yichun Prefecture is directly under the provincial government. At that time, Yichun Prefecture was under the jurisdiction of 15 districts and 2 counties.
On December 14, 1979, with the approval of the State Council, Yichun district was abolished and Yichun City (prefecture level) was restored, which was directly under the provincial government. Jiayin and Tieli counties in Yichun are still under the leadership of Yichun city. On December 24, 1983, with the approval of the provincial people's government, wuminhe district was renamed Wumahe District, Dongfeng district was renamed Tangwanghe District, Dafeng district was renamed Jinshantun district. On September 13, 1988, with the approval of the State Council, Tieli county was abolished and Tieli city (county level) was established, which was managed by Yichun city. So far, Yichun City has a total of 15 districts, one county under its leadership and one city under its management.
On June 29, 2019, with the approval of the State Council (Guo Han [2019] No. 63), Wuyiling district and Tangwanghe District of Yichun City were abolished and Tangwang county was established. The former administrative regions of Wuyiling district and Tangwanghe district were the administrative regions of Tangwang county. The Xinqing District, Hongxing district and Wuying District of Yichun City were abolished and Fenglin county was established. The former administrative regions of Xinqing District, Hongxing district and Wuying district were the administrative regions of Fenglin county. The dailing District of Yichun city was abolished and Daqingshan county was established. The former administrative region of dailing district was the administrative region of Daqingshan county. Langxiang town of Tieli city at the county level was put under the jurisdiction of Daqingshan county. Nancha District of Yichun city was abolished and Nancha county was established. The former administrative region of Nancha district was the administrative region of Nancha county. Wumahe District, Yichun district and Meixi District of Yichun city shall be abolished, and Yimei District of Yichun city shall be established. Some administrative regions of former Wumahe district and the administrative regions of former Yichun district and Meixi district shall be the administrative regions of Yimei district. Cuiluan District of Yichun city shall be abolished and Wucui District of Yichun city shall be established. The remaining administrative region of the former Wumahe district and the administrative region of the former Cuiluan district shall be the administrative region of Wucui district. The Yichun friendship zone and Shangganling district will be abolished, and a new Yichun friendship zone will be established, with the former and Shangganling administrative areas as the new ones. The Xilin district and Jinshantun District of Yichun city will be abolished, and the Jinlin District of Yichun city will be established. The former administrative region of Xilin district and Jinshantun district will be the administrative region of Jinlin district.
