[plant morphology] Alsophila spinulosa, also known as tree fern.
Large fern, the trunk is 2-6 meters high, dark brown or light black, the skin is hard, there are traces of old leaves falling off. The leaves are large, papery, 1-3 m long, 3-pinnatifid, with oblong pinnae, apex acuminate, 30-50 cm long, middle 13-20 cm wide, glabrous below the rachis, but sparsely spiny below, sparsely brown curly knobby hairs above and below the rachis and main vein, and slightly bubbly below the rachis and main vein Scales oblate; pinnules pinnately lobed to rachis, lobes lanceolate, mucronate, sparsely serrate. The veins of the leaves diverge. On the branching point of the vein of sporangia, the convex receptacle is on the top, and the cover of sporangia is nearly spherical, thrusting out, covering the sporangia upward at the beginning and splitting at maturity.
