[plant morphology] bugudan
Deciduous shrub, 2-3m high. The young branches are slightly tetragonal, and the stems are covered with gray white hairs. Leaves opposite; ovate lanceolate to lanceolate, 5-12 cm long, 1.2-4 cm wide, apex acuminate, base cuneate, entire or spotted serrate, green above, gray white pubescent below, densely pilose; petiole 3-10 mm long, pilose. Panicle terminal; flowers small, purplish blue or white; calyx campanulate, 4-lobed; corolla tubular, apex 4-lobed; stamens 4; stigma 2-lobed. Capsule, calyx persistent. It blooms in spring.
Born in mountain or garden. It is distributed in Guangdong, Guangxi, Yunnan, Sichuan, Fujian and Taiwan.
