Plant morphology
Herbs perennial, ca. 80 cm tall. Underground tubers verrucous. Stem erect, unbranched, with 2 leaves. Palmate compound leaf, petiole about 15 cm long, 3 leaflets, broad oval, 12-20 cm long, 8-9 cm wide, apex short, tail pointed, base cuneate, edge wavy, leaf green, soft, glossy, veins pinnate, densely distributed. The flower is unisexual. The upper part of the spathe is curly, slightly helmet shaped, with dark yellow green surface and purple inside. Berries red, obovate. It blooms in summer.
It grows under the forest in the mountain area. It is distributed in Sichuan, Hunan, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Henan, Shaanxi and other places.
