[collection] the mature fruits were harvested from October to November, and the seeds were washed and dried in the sun.

The dried seeds are oblate ovate, 1-1.5 cm long and 5-8 mm wide. One end is obtuse and the other end is pointed. The surface is yellowish white and grayish yellow with a few irregular longitudinal wrinkles or uneven due to shrinkage. There is a hilum at the tip and an obvious edge line on one side. After removing the seed coat, the leaves are 2, yellowish white. It tastes bitter. It is better to be dry, big, full and yellow white.

[function indications] soothe the liver and relieve pain. Treatment of hernia, abdominal pain.

[usage and dosage] oral administration: decoction, 1-2 yuan; or into pills, powder.
