Dangtu County Dangtu County, belonging to Ma'anshan City, Anhui Province, is located in the east of Anhui Province and the East Bank of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River. Dangtu County has a history of more than 2200 years. It was established as Danyang County in the Qin Dynasty and named Dangtu in 589. Historically, the county seat was the seat of Taiping Prefecture in Song Dynasty, Taiping Prefecture in Ming and Qing Dynasties, Yangtze River Navy in Qing Dynasty and Anhui academic and political department. Before the founding of the county
In the Western Zhou Dynasty, Dangtu belonged to the state of Wu. The spring and Autumn period and the Warring States period were the territories of Yue and Chu.
In the Qin Dynasty, in the 26th year of the first emperor of Qin Dynasty (221 BC), the county system was implemented, and Danyang county (now Dangtu Danyang town) was set up, which belongs to Kuaiji county. At the end of Qin Dynasty or Chu and Han Dynasty, it was changed to Zhangjun.
In the sixth year of Gaozu in the Western Han Dynasty (201 BC), 50 counties in Huainan were set up as Jingguo, and Danyang county was subordinate to it. In the 10th year of Gaozu (197 BC), the state of Yijing was the state of Wu. In 154 BC, the state of Wu was changed to Jiangdu state, and Danyang County successively belonged to Wu state and Jiangdu state. In the first year of Yuanshuo (128 BC), Emperor Wu established Danyang, moling, Hushu and other Marquis states in Jiangdu state, and Danyang County belonged to Danyang state. Sui, Tang and Five Dynasties
In 589, Danyang County of the Sui Dynasty set up Jiangzhou; Huainan county was abolished, Xiangyuan County, Yuhu County, Fanchang County and Xi'an county set up Dangtu and moved to Gushu county to govern Gushu County, which belonged to Jiangzhou, since it was Dangtu County of Gushu County; overseas Chinese set up Dangtu, Junqiu County and Xuancheng County, which belonged to Xuanzhou. In the 11th year of kaihuang (591), Danyang county was abolished and Lishui County was set up with its land and Liyang County as a part. It was subordinate to Jiangzhou. Song, yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties
In 975, song Kaibao changed xiongyuan army into Pingnan army. In the second year of Taiping's rejuvenation of the state (977), the southern army was promoted to Taiping state, and Dangtu was established as Fu Guo, which was subordinate to jiankangfu road. In the third year, Wuhu and Fanchang counties of Xuanzhou belonged to Taiping Prefecture. To Daojian (995-997), it belongs to Jiangnan Road. Republic of China
In 1912, Taiping Prefecture was abolished and Dangtu County was directly under Anhui Province. In June 1914, Wuhu Road was set up, which belonged to Dangtu County. In August 1928, Dao was abolished and returned to Anhui Province. In October 1932, it was assigned to the second Provincial Office of the Commissioner of administrative supervision. In December 1937, the Japanese army occupied Dangtu and the county government was paralyzed. In October of the next year, the county government was restored in daguanwei, belonging to the ninth Office of the Commissioner of administrative supervision. In August 1940, the county government sent it to Shencun village, Xuancheng County, and became the sixth Office of the Commissioner of administrative supervision. In August 1942, the New Fourth Army established the administrative committees of Dangtu, Jiangning and Lishui counties in Hengshan area, and changed them to Hengshan County in the winter of the next year. In September 1945, the county government moved back to the county. In November of the same year, the new fourth army withdrew to the north and Hengshan County was abolished.
The People's Republic of China
In April 1949, Dangtu was liberated. In August, the county seat of Dangtu was set up as Dangtu city. The county and city belong to Wudang District of Southern Anhui administrative department, and the special office is located in Dangtu city.
In May 1950, Dangtu city was withdrawn into Dangtu County as the first district. Soon, Wudang district was abolished, and Dangtu County was changed to Xuancheng district. In February 1952, it was assigned to Wuhu district. In March 1971, Wuhu district was renamed Wuhu District, and the subordinate relationship of the county remained unchanged. In January 1980, Wuhu district administrative office changed its name to Xuancheng district administrative office. In July 1983, Daqiao commune was completely transferred to Wuhu City, and Dangtu was changed to Ma'anshan county.
