Wenfeng District Wenfeng District, located in the southeast of Anyang City, is one of the districts of Anyang City. It is the political, economic and cultural center of Anyang City and the core urban area of Anyang City. Wenfeng District has a total area of 179 square kilometers and a total population of 380000 (2012). The ancient city of Anyang (also known as Zhangde City, ye city of Tang and Song dynasties) is a national historical and cultural city. The ancient buildings include the Wenfeng pagoda (formerly Tianning Temple Pagoda) of Zhou Jian after five dynasties, the monument of the day palace of Song Dynasty, the Xiaobai pagoda of Yuan Dynasty, the Gaoge Temple of Ming Dynasty, and the locust Temple of Fucheng in Qing Dynasty.

Historical evolution

In the spring and Autumn period, Wenfeng District first belonged to Wei, and then to Yangyi in the east of Jin Dynasty.

In the Warring States period, in the 50th year of King Zhaoxiang of Qin Dynasty (257 BC), the Qin army occupied Anyang, and Wenfeng District belonged to Anyang. In 221 BC, the first emperor of Qin unified the six countries and established the system of prefectures and counties, and now established Anyang County, Wenfeng District.

From the Han Dynasty to the Wei, Jin and the southern and Northern Dynasties, Anyang County belonged to them.

In the second year of Xiangxiang in the Northern Zhou Dynasty (580 A.D.), the ancient Ye City, the governing place of Xiangzhou, Weijun and Ye County, was burned by Yang Jian, so the three-level government and all the residents of Ye City moved southward to Anyang City. From then on, the ancient city of Anyang in Wenfeng District became the political, economic and cultural center of this area instead of Yecheng, and became the new Yecheng. After Sui and Tang Dynasties, ye, Yecheng, Yexia and Yezhong all refer to Anyang City, such as "Yezhong" in Li Bai's Ye Zhong to Wang Da and "three men Ye Cheng garrison" in Du Fu's Shi Hao Li. During the Sui, Tang, song, yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, it was the seat of Xiangzhou, Weijun, zhangdejun, zhangdelu and zhangdefu.

During the period of the Republic of China, it was the residence of the office of administrative inspector of the third district of Henan Province.

On August 1, 1949, Anyang City was built in the urban area of Anyang County, which was divided into four districts in the shape of "Tian". The second and third districts were the predecessor of Wenfeng District. On August 5, 1954, the establishment of the three districts was abolished, and the seven neighborhood committees under the jurisdiction of the three districts were put under the jurisdiction of the second district. On December 26, 1955, the organizational system of the first and second districts was abolished, and the CPC Anyang urban Committee was established. The office was located at No. 65, cangxiang Street South. At the end of November 1956, the system of the first and second districts was restored, and the second district was officially changed into Wenfeng District. On October 8, 1958, it was renamed lighthouse people's commune. On June 25th, 1962, Wenfeng District was restored to be under the jurisdiction of the old urban area and the eastern civic area. In August 1973, Wenfeng District was further divided into Wenfeng District, Tiexi District and Beiguan District. The old urban area and the eastern and Southern Civil districts were under the jurisdiction of Wenfeng District. On November 18, 1997, the district authorities moved to No. 3, south ring.

By the end of 2000, Wenfeng District had eight sub district offices, including Tianshuijing, Beidajie, Xidajie, dongdajie, Dongguan, Nanguan, tangzixiang and touersan, and 67 neighborhood committees.

On December 28, 2002, the State Council approved the adjustment of some administrative regions of Anyang City. Agriculture

In 2012, the total grain output reached 112000 tons, realizing nine consecutive increases. Second, the pace of agricultural restructuring has accelerated. Gaozhuang industrial zone of Wenfeng District is located in the southeast of Wenfeng District of Anyang City, which is connected with Shidong district.
