Tianjia'an District tianjia'an district belongs to Huainan City, Anhui Province. It is located in the east of Huainan City, adjacent to Datong District in the East, Xiejiaji District in the south, Bagong mountain area in the West and Panji District in the north. It is the main urban area and economic, cultural, educational and technological center of Huainan City. The administrative area is 255.7 square kilometers.

Historical evolution
During the Xia and Shang Dynasties, Tianjiaan was a place of Huaiyi. In the Western Zhou Dynasty, tianjia'an was under the jurisdiction of the state; in the late spring and Autumn period, there were disputes among the vassals. In the 16th year of King Jing of Zhou Dynasty (529 BC), when Wu destroyed Zhou, tianjia'an belonged to Wu. In the 26th year of the first emperor of Qin Dynasty (221 BC), Qin unified the six states, and tianjia'an belonged to Jiujiang county (Shouchun county). In the fourth year of emperor Gaozu of the Han Dynasty (203 BC), Liu Bang granted yingbu the title of king of Huainan. He first established the state of Huainan, Du Liu (now Lu'an), and governed four counties, Jiujiang, Lujiang, Hengshan and Yuzhang. In the 11th year of Gaozu (196 BC), yingbu was sentenced to death, and Liu Chang was renamed king of Huainan, capital Shouchun (now Shouxian). Tianjiaan power plant, formerly known as Huainan Power Plant, was built in October 1941. Its predecessor was Xiayao power station, which was built for mining Huainan coal resources. The limestone in Tianjiaan district is widely distributed and of good quality. The content of calcium oxide (CAO), the main beneficial component, is generally about 50%, while the content of magnesium oxide (MgO), the harmful component, is generally less than 3%. Ore bodies are mainly distributed from Dongshan to the west of jinjialing in Tianjiaan district. The orebodies are layered and the surface outcrops are banded. Most of the ore bearing strata are uplifted mountains, and a considerable part of them are exposed along the mountains. The stripping ratio of the deposit is small and the drainage is convenient.
