Gongzhuling Gongzhuling City, a city directly under the jurisdiction of Jilin Province, is managed by Changchun City. Gongzhuling City is located in the Midwest of Jilin Province, on the right bank of the middle reaches of the East Liaohe River. In 2014, Gongzhuling City ranked 93rd among the top 100 counties in China. In 2015, Gongzhuling City ranked 75th in China's County comprehensive competitiveness. In 2015, Gongzhuling City was approved as the pilot of comprehensive reform of small and medium-sized cities in China (61 pilot areas in China). Historical evolution
Gu Lun and Princess Jing, the third daughter of Emperor Qianlong, were born in May 24 of the ninth year of Yongzheng (1731) by Fu Cha, the Royal concubine of Hongli. In the early years of Qianlong, he was granted the title of "GuLun" and "Jing Princess"; in March of the 12th year (1747), he married sebuten balzhur, the assistant state of Horqin borzijit. Princess Hejing died in 1792. Her body was buried near Dongba town in the eastern suburb of Beijing.
At that time, according to the needs of the political and economic status of the family, Princess Hejing was buried in her own territory, which is now the site of Princess mausoleum. Princess mausoleum is located on Tuling, 5km north of Gongzhuling City. Tuling has nine peaks, known as "nine phoenix rising sun". Zhongfeng is the highest, and Princess mausoleum is located at the foot of Zhongfeng.
In 1877, the Qing dynasty built Huaide County in a brief place outside the wicker edge, and stationed in Bajiazi (now Huaide town). After liberation, it has been moved to Gongzhuling City. From 1898 to 1903, when the tsarist Russia built the Middle East Railway, it called today's Gongzhuling "three stations". During the period of Japan's occupation of Northeast China, "three stations" was changed to "Princess mausoleum" because the Qing Dynasty Princess mausoleum was on the north side of it. Because of the taboo of ominous word "mausoleum", the homonym of "mausoleum" was "Ling". Another way to change "Ling" into "Ling" is to change "Ling" into "Ling" because Gongzhuling is located on the watershed of Songhua River and Liaohe River. Since then, the name Gongzhuling has been used to this day.

On March 2, 1877 (April 15, 1877), general Chonghou of Shengjing invited the Qing government to set up the county in this territory. November 17 (December 21, 1877) decree, built-in county territory, governance Bajia town. Fenfang was moved to kangjiatun (now Kangping County, Liaoning Province). From 1937 to 1943, Huaide county was subordinate to Jilin Province. In October 1945, it was put under the jurisdiction of Changchun District of Jihe District Administrative Committee. In April 1946, in order to launch the Siping campaign, the CPC Gongzhuling Central County Committee was established to lead the Yitong, Shuangyang and Huaide County committees because Gongzhuling was at the forefront of the strategic area. After the battle, it was withdrawn in May. In June, it was assigned to the second special area of Liaoji district.
In May 1947, Gongzhuling was liberated.
In February 1948, it was transferred to the rear Office of Northern Liaoning Province. In July, it was assigned to the second special area of Liaoji district.
In October 1948, it was put under the direct control of Northern Liaoning Province.
On March 31, 1949, Gongzhuling City was established. It is a city of grade C. In May, it became a city under the jurisdiction of a county. Huaide county is under the jurisdiction of Jilin Province.
On April 21, 1949, the Northeast administrative committee ordered Huaide County in northern Liaoning Province to be under the jurisdiction of Jilin Province. (Gongzhuling is one of the four cities under the jurisdiction of 310 counties in the province)
In September 1952, Gongzhuling City was designated as a district level city, belonging to Huaide county.
On July 3, 1956, with the approval of the State Council, Huaide district was established, and its administrative office was located in Gongzhuling town. It has jurisdiction over Huaide, Yushu, Nongan, Fuyu, Dehui, Jiutai, Lishu, Yitong, Shuangyang and Dongliao counties. To establish Gongzhuling City, the administrative region of the former Gongzhuling town shall be the administrative region of Gongzhuling City. In September, Gongzhuling City was changed into a district level town, Fanjiatun was upgraded to a district level town, and five districts including Liufangzi, Shiwu, Ping'an, Shaoguo and Heqi were abolished. The system of District, township and community is practiced in the whole county. On October 6, Huaide Commissioner's office was renamed Gongzhuling Commissioner's office. On October 12, Gongzhuling town separated from Huaide county and established Gongzhuling City. The administrative region of Gongzhuling town in Huaide county was the administrative region of Gongzhuling City. It is a provincial city. Gongzhuling Municipal People's Committee was established.
On October 23, 1958, with the approval of the State Council, Gongzhuling district was abolished, Siping district was established, and Gongzhuling City of Huaide county was put under the jurisdiction of Siping district.
In March 1959, Gongzhuling City was reduced to a town. It has jurisdiction over 15 communities and towns.
On July 3, 1959, with the approval of the State Council, Huaide district was established, Gongzhuling City was abolished, Huaide county was returned, and the administrative office was located in Gongzhuling town. On October 6, it was renamed Gongzhuling district. On October 12, Gongzhuling City was established and Huaide County remained.
On January 7, 1960, with the approval of the State Council, Gongzhuling City was abolished and Gongzhuling town was restored, which was subordinate to Huaide County, Siping district. Gongzhuling town governs 15 communities and towns, and soon it was divided into 28 communities and towns.
In 1980, the Revolutionary Committee of Huaide county was abolished and the people's Government of Huaide county was established.
On September 5, 1983, with the approval of the people's Government of Jilin Province, Siping district was abolished and a prefecture level Siping City was established. Huaide County in the former Siping district was put under the jurisdiction of Siping City.
On February 4, 1985, with the approval of the State Council, Huaide county was abolished. Set up prefecture level Gongzhuling City. The original county area is the Gongzhuling City area. After the abolishment of Huaide County, the establishment of Huaide district is under the jurisdiction of Gongzhuling City. It has jurisdiction over Huaide and Gongzhuling. On January 20, 1986, the people's Government of Jilin Province informed that with the approval of the State Council, Gongzhuling City would be changed into a county-level city, which would be managed by Siping City on its behalf, and the plan would be separately listed by the province. Yitong county was put under the jurisdiction of Siping City.
In June 2006, with the approval of the State Council, Gongzhuling economic and Technological Development Zone was established, under the direct management of Jilin provincial government.
In December 2007, with the application of the United Nations Commission for social development and the approval of the State Council, Gongzhuling was upgraded to an international AAAA City, enjoying preferential treatment as an international import and export city.

On June 19, 2020, Gongzhuling changed from Siping to Changchun.
