Bengbu high tech Industrial Development Zone is an important transportation hub city in East China and an economic, cultural and business center city in Northern Anhui. Bengbu high tech Industrial Development Zone is located in the southwest of the city. It was established in 1994 with the approval of Anhui Provincial People's government. In 2013, the investment in fixed assets was 7.02 billion yuan, up 40% year on year. 10.08 billion yuan of investment was completed, with a year-on-year growth of 32.6%; of which, 132 million US dollars of foreign investment was in place, with a year-on-year growth of 14%.
