Historical evolution
In ancient times, it was called Gu County, which was first placed in Qin Shihuang and belonged to Yanmen county.
Yuanping county was established in the third year of Yuanding (114 BC) of the Western Han Dynasty, belonging to Taiyuan county.
In the Eastern Han Dynasty, it was changed to Yanmen county.
At the end of the Western Jin Dynasty, Yunzhong county was restored, and Loufan County government moved from Ningwu prefecture to Dayang village, Guyang town in the north of the city.
