Geology and geomorphology
Due to the influence of the flood of the Yellow River, the fluvo aquic soil is formed in Guzhen county. Hejian plain is heavily flooded by yellow water, and the pH value rises from about 6.5 to about 7.5; the gentle slope area along the river is relatively high, and is weakly eroded by yellow flooding, and the pH value changes slightly, still between 6.7 and 7.5, maintaining the characteristics of brown soil.
The main parent material of soil formation in Guzhen county is loess paleofluvial sediments, followed by yellow flood sediments. Loess paleofluvial sediments are rich in calcium carbonate at first, and calcium carbonate is leached to the bottom during the long process of soil formation. The sorting effect of this kind of sediment is not obvious, and most of them are heavy loam. The Yellow River flood sediments were deposited due to the Yellow River flooding after the Yellow River captured the Huaihe River. This kind of sediment has strong sorting function, and it is distributed along the river according to the law of tight sediment and slow deposition, and the content of calcium carbonate is more than 10%.
The altitude of Guzhen county is 22.5-16.0 meters, and the terrain inclines from northwest to Southeast with a natural gradient of 1 / 10000. Due to the influence of river erosion, a low estuary, high river bank and slightly convex terrain between rivers are formed in Guzhen county. The 1450 square kilometers of land in the county can be divided into three types: Lake land, bay land and slope land.
