Jiaojiang District Jiaojiang District (Taizhou Dialect: tsiao-k ô ng k'ü), located in Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province, is located at the entrance of Taizhou Bay in the central coastal area of Zhejiang Province, formerly known as "Haimen", which is the main urban area of Taizhou. Founded in 1981, it was renamed Jiaojiang because of the same name as Haimen City, Nantong City, Jiangsu Province. It is the first county-level city in Zhejiang Province.
Jiaojiang District has a land area of 280 square kilometers, a sea area of 1604 square kilometers and a coastline of 51.4 kilometers. It governs eight streets, one island town, one farm and one Fishery Corporation. By the end of 2017, the total population of the registered residence was 542 thousand and 800.
Jiaojiang has a long history and rich tourism resources. Among them, the memorial site of the liberation of Yijiangshan Island campaign is one of the 100 classic red tourism scenic spots in China. Taizhou ocean world is the highest in China and the largest aquarium in Zhejiang Province. In 2017, the GDP of Jiaojiang District was 55.118 billion yuan.
In October 2019, it will be selected as one of the top 100 national comprehensive strength zones in 2019, top 100 national green development zones in 2019 and top 100 national science and technology innovation zones in 2019. The second batch of water-saving society construction standard counties (districts).
Evolution of organizational system
In the second year of the first Yuan Dynasty of the Western Han Dynasty (85 BC), Huipu county was set up to govern Zhang'an.
In the Jianwu period of the Eastern Han Dynasty (AD 25-56), it was renamed Zhang'an county. Its jurisdiction is equivalent to the four counties in Wenzhou, Taizhou, Chuzhou and Songyang. In 257, Wu Taiping resettled Linhai County in Zhang, which governs Zhang'an, Linhai, Shiping, Yongning, Songyang (Anyang), Luoyang (Angu) and Luojiang counties, equivalent to most of the southeast Zhejiang and Northern Fujian.

Ming Hongwu 20 years (1387), built a city to set up a guard, in order to resist Japanese pirates, known as Haimen guard.
In 1654, he moved Dinghai town to Haimen. Before and after that, he set up the chengyamen of Linhai County in Haimen. In 1661, the Qing government issued a ban on the sea. The coastal residents moved in, and there were only a few residents in Haimen. Kangxi 22 years (1683) to open the sea ban, restoration. In the 23rd year of Daoguang (1843), Tongzhi yamen of Taizhou was moved to Jiaji to strengthen its rule over the coastal areas. Guangxu 20 years (1894) open port trade, developed into a commercial port.
Haimen District of Linhai county was built in 1928. In 1934, Haimen was set up in the office of the seventh administrative inspector general of Zhejiang Province. In April 1941, he moved to Linhai because of the disturbance of Japanese army.
After the liberation of Haimen in June 1949, it was established as Haimen district directly under the Taizhou Commissioner's office.
In October 1958, Haimen and Hongjia districts merged to establish Haimen people's commune. Under its jurisdiction, there are 7 teams (management area) and 1 fishery professional team.
At the beginning of 1960, Hongjia district was designated; in May, Dachen town was designated from Haimen.
In June 1961, Haimen people's commune was abolished and Haimen District Office was restored, with four people's communes under its jurisdiction.
In 1969, it was changed into the Revolutionary Committee of Haimen district. In May 1979, it was abolished and the district office was restored.
In July 1980, it was separated from Huangyan county to establish Haimen special zone. In July 1981, Jiaojiang city was established with the approval of the State Council, which is the first county-level city in Zhejiang Province.
In 1994, a prefecture level Taizhou city was established, and then Jiaojiang city was withdrawn as Jiaojiang District of Taizhou city.
In November 2001, the six towns of Hongjia, Dongshan, Sanjia, Xiachen, Zhang'an and qiansuo were set up as Hongjia street, Sanjia street, Xiachen street, Zhang'an street and qiansuo street. The former Dongshan Town was merged into Jiaji street, and the former Huangjiao township was merged into Zhang'an street.
In 2003, Jiaojiang District governed Haimen street, Baiyun Street, Jiaji street, Hongjia street, Xiachen street, Sanjia street, Zhang'an street, qiansuo street, Dachen Town, Jiaojiang Marine Fishery Corporation and Jiaojiang farm.

Jiaojiang is located in the land boundary at 28 ° 34'25 "~ 28 ° 46'53" n (28 ° 23'24 "at the southernmost island) and 121 ° 21'24" ~ 121 ° 32'02 "E (121 ° 55'10" at the easternmost island). It has four distinct seasons, abundant precipitation, abundant heat and the same season of rain and heat. It is fresh and hot in summer, but not cold in winter. The annual average temperature is 17.0 ℃, the average temperature in January is 6.1 ℃, the average temperature in July is 27.8 ℃, and the frost free period is 257 days.

Jiaojiang River is the third largest river in Zhejiang Province, with a total area of 6290 square kilometers in the lower reaches (yonganxi River in the upper reaches and Lingjiang River in the middle reaches). Jiaojiang River is 197.7 kilometers long, 11.7 kilometers long and 900-2000 meters wide. Jiaojiang is divided into Jiaobei water system and Jiaonan water system, with 82 main rivers, with a total length of 359.24 km. In addition to Jiaojiang River, most of the plain rivers are dug by hand, showing a vertical and horizontal pattern of longitude and latitude, which is convenient for irrigation. Biological resources
Dachen fishing ground is the second largest fishing ground in the East China Sea, with more than 300 species of fish, crustaceans, molluscs, shellfish and algae. In the past, Dachen fishing ground was famous for producing large yellow croaker, small yellow croaker, hairtail and cuttlefish.

Among them, the added value of the primary industry was 2.120 billion yuan, an increase of 0.4%; the added value of the secondary industry was 23.654 billion yuan, an increase of 10.1%; the added value of the tertiary industry was 29.345 billion yuan, an increase of 4.0%. The three industrial structure is 3.8:42.9:53.3. The annual per capita GDP was 102274 yuan, reaching 15148 US dollars at the annual average exchange rate, an increase of 5.2% over the previous year.
The overall level of consumer prices in the whole year increased by 2.4% over the previous year, of which the prices of service items and consumer goods increased by 3.7% and 1.5% respectively.

During the year, 68100 pigs were sold, a decrease of 24.0% over the previous year, and 354900 poultry were sold, a decrease of 44.4%. The annual total meat output was 7573 tons, a decrease of 22.6% over the previous year, of which the pork output was 6793 tons, a decrease of 19.7%. The egg production was 2776 tons, down 29.6%.
