Qujiang District, located in the western part of Zhejiang Province and upstream of Qiantang River, is a municipal district of Quzhou City, Zhejiang Province. Historical evolution
Qujiang District has a long history. Its predecessor is Quxian county. Quxian county was built in the third year of the Eastern Han Dynasty (AD 192). It was named Xin'an at that time, and then it was renamed Xin'an and Xi'an successively. It was named Quxian County in the first year of the Republic of China.
In 1922, Xinan county was set up in Taimo county. Quxian County for the beginning of the county, is still Kuaiji county.
In 218, Xin'an County was established as dingyang county.
In 226, Xinan county was changed into Dongyang county.
In the first year of Taikang in Jin Dynasty (280), Xin'an was changed to Xin'an because of the same name as Xin'an County in Hongnong county. It was named after Xin'an River, which was named after the county and still belonged to Dongyang county.
In the Southern Dynasties of song, Qi and Liang, the subordination of Xin'an County remained unchanged.
In the third year of Chen Yongding (559), Xin'an County led Xin'an and dingyang counties and was subordinate to Jinzhou.
In the third year of Daye (607), Taimo and dingyang counties were merged into Xin'an and were subordinate to Dongyang county.
Xiantongzhong (860-874) in Tang Dynasty changed Xin'an to Xi'an. It got its name from Xixi and was still attached to Quzhou.
Song, yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties did not change their names, they successively belonged to Zhejiang Xidao, Zhejiang Dongdao, Quzhou Road, Longyou mansion, Quzhou mansion and Jinqu Yandao.
After the revolution of 1911 (November 7, 1911), the military and government branch of Quzhou was established, which was also responsible for the county affairs.
