Yongkang Yongkang, formerly known as Lizhou, is a county-level city managed by Jinhua City of Zhejiang Province. It is located in the low mountains and hills in the middle of Zhejiang Province. The Municipal People's government is located at No. 15, Jincheng Road, Dongcheng Street.
According to legend, in 245 A.D., Sun Quan's mother came here to pray for "eternal peace and health" because of illness. In June 2017, Yongkang City was named national health city. In November 2018, it was selected into the top 100 of the top 100 industrial counties (cities) and China's cities in the overall well-off index in 2018. In December 2018, it was selected as one of the top 100 counties in terms of comprehensive competitiveness, investment potential and business environment in China in 2019. The second batch of water-saving society construction standard counties (districts). On November 15, 2019, it was awarded the national forest city. In November 2020, it will be included in the list of China's top 100 industrial counties (cities) in 2020. Historical evolution
Pre Qin Period
In the Neolithic period, there were human activities in Yongkang. The Miaoshan and taiposhan sites discovered in Yongkang and the Pujiang Shangshan cultural sites belong to the Neolithic human sites. In the spring and Autumn period, Yongkang was the land of Yue State. In the Warring States period, Yue was destroyed by Chu, so Yongkang became Chu.
Qin and Han Dynasties
In 222 BC, the first emperor of Qin established Wushang County in Kuaiji County, which is called Yongkang county. Han Dynasty was made by Qin Dynasty. After Wang Mang usurped power, Wushang county was renamed Wuxiao county. The name of Wushang county was restored in the first year of Jianwu in the Eastern Han Dynasty.
Three Kingdoms, two Jin Dynasties, southern and Northern Dynasties
In 245 A.D., Yongkang county was established in Shangpu Township, Wushang county. In the first year of Wu Baoding (266), Dongyang county was set up in the west of Kuaiji County, and Yongkang County belonged to Dongyang county. The Jin Dynasty followed the system of Wu. In the Southern Dynasty, in 556, Jinzhou was set up in Dongyang County, which belonged to Yongkang. In 562, Chen Tianjia abolished Jinzhou, and soon changed Dongyang County into Jinhua County.
Sui, Tang and Song Dynasties
In 589, the Sui Dynasty destroyed Chen and abolished Jinhua County. Yongkang belonged to Wuzhou. In the same year, Yongkang county was merged into Wuning (Jinhua) and soon restored to Yongkang county. In the 13th year of kaihuang, Wuzhou was established, and Yongkang belonged to Wuzhou. In the third year of Daye (607), Wuzhou was abandoned as Dongyang county.
In the Tang Dynasty, Yongkang was Wangxian county. In the fourth year of Wude (621), he was promoted to Lizhou, belonging to the governor of Yuezhou. The county government moved to the north of the county. In the eighth year of Wude of Tang Dynasty (625 AD), Yongkang county was abolished as Lizhou, which was under the jurisdiction of Wuzhou. In 691, Wuyi County was established from Yongkang county. In the first year of Dengfeng (696), Jinyun County was established from Yongkang county. In the first year of Tianbao (742), Wuzhou was changed into Dongyang county. In the first year of Qianyuan (758), Dongyang county was established as Wuzhou.
From then on to the Five Dynasties, Ten Kingdoms and two Song Dynasties, Yongkang belonged to Wuzhou. During the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period, Yongkang county was the land of Wuyue state. In Song Dynasty, Yongkang county was a tight county. In Northern Song Dynasty, Yongkang county was the place of Liangzhe road. In Southern Song Dynasty, Yongkang county was the place of Liangzhe road.
Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties
In Yuan Dynasty, Yongkang was Shangxian County, belonging to Wuzhou road of xingzhongshu Province in Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces. In December 1358, Zhu Yuanzhang's army captured Wuzhou, and Yongkang was subordinate to it. Later, Wuzhou road was changed into ningyue mansion. In the first month of 1360, ningyue mansion was changed into Jinhua mansion, which belonged to Yongkang. In the Ming Dynasty, Yongkang belonged to the Jinhua Office of Zhejiang Chengshi. The Qing Dynasty belonged to Zhejiang Province.
Republic of China
In 1912, Yongkang belonged to Jinhua Road. Sixteen years, the abolition of the road system, Yongkang county directly under Zhejiang Province. In the 21st year, the sixth administrative supervision district was set up in Jinhua. In August of 24, the fourth administrative supervision district was set up in Lanxi. The People's Republic of China
On May 8, 1949, the people's Liberation Army liberated Yongkang County, which still belonged to the eighth administrative supervision area, and later changed to Jinhua special area. In October 1958, the organizational system of Wuyi County was abolished and the whole territory of Wuyi County was assigned to Yongkang county. In October 1961, Wuyi County was re established from Yongkang county. After 1978, Jinhua District was changed to Jinhua District, and Yongkang was still under its jurisdiction. In June 1985, the district was changed into a city, and Yongkang county was under the jurisdiction of Jinhua City. On October 8, 1992, Yongkang was established as a city instead of a county.

In 2002, Yongkang city governed 4 streets, 5 towns, 27 communities, 34 residential areas and 717 administrative villages: Dongcheng Street, Xicheng street, Jiangnan street, Zhiying street, Huajie Town, Shizhu Town, Gushan Town, Xiangzhu town and Longshan Town.
By the end of 2004, Yongkang City had jurisdiction over 4 streets, 5 towns, 17 community neighborhood committees, 26 neighborhood committees and 715 village committees, covering an area of 1049 square kilometers and a population density of 518 people / square kilometers.
As of December 31, 2005, Yongkang has jurisdiction over four streets and five towns: Dongcheng Street, Xicheng street, Jiangnan street and Zhiying street; Huajie Town, Shizhu Town, Gushan Town, Xiangzhu town and Longshan Town.
In 2006, Yongkang City governs 10 towns, including Shizhu, qiancang, Zhoushan, Gushan, Fangyan, Longshan, Xixi, Xiangzhu, Tangxian and Huajie. There are 38 rivers with a drainage area of more than 10 square kilometers, and Yongkang river is the largest river in the territory. Except Tangxi belongs to Oujiang River system, the rest belong to Qiantang River system.
