Taian County, a county under the jurisdiction of Anshan City, Liaoning Province, is located in the middle of Liaoning Province and the hinterland of Liaohe River Delta. Taian County has a history of more than two thousand years. As early as the Western Han Dynasty, it was built as a dangerous county. There are many historical sites in Tai'an, such as Jiatai site of Shang and Zhou dynasties, Xiandu County site of Han Dynasty, great wall site of Ming Dynasty, Memorial Hall of Zhang Xueliang's birthplace, house of Zhang Laodao in late Qing Dynasty, as well as ancient folk legends such as Daming Lake, Liaohe ancient ferry and Sancha River. In October 1945, Tai'an was liberated for the first time, and the democratic government of Tai'an County was established under the leadership of the western Liaoning Administrative Office (based in Jinzhou). In December of the same year, it was designated as the leadership of the first Liaoning Office of the Commissioner (based in Liaoyang).
In February 1946, the county democratic government carried out a strategic shift, and the Kuomintang established the Taian County Government, which was under the jurisdiction of Liaoning Province.
In January 1948, Tai'an was liberated for the second time.
