Shaoyang County Shaoyang County is a county under the jurisdiction of Shaoyang City, Hunan Province. It is an old revolutionary base area. Evolution of organizational system
In Shaoyang County, Zhaoling county was established in the early Western Han Dynasty; in the first five years of the Han Dynasty, the territory was granted the Marquis state of Zhaoyang.
In the period of the Three Kingdoms, the first year of Baoding (266) of the eastern Wu Dynasty changed the Marquis state of Zhaoyang into Zhaoyang County, which belongs to Zhaoling county together with Zhaoling county.

In the Sui Dynasty, the county was abolished in the 10th year of kaihuang (590), and Fuyi and Duliang counties were incorporated into Shaoyang. The former site of Zhigan Zhaoling Mausoleum in Shaoyang County was moved. In the late Sui Dynasty, it was analyzed that Shaoyang set up Wuyou.
In the Tang Dynasty, Shaoling and Jianxing counties were established in the fourth year of Wude (621). Then Shaoling was merged into Shaoyang and Jianxing into Wugang.
In the Southern Song Dynasty, in the first year of Baoqing of LiZong (1225), Shaozhou was promoted to Baoqing Prefecture, and Shaoyang was still attached to Guozhi county.
