Pinggui District Pinggui district belongs to Hezhou City of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is located in the northeast of Guangxi and the middle of Hezhou City, with a total area of 2022 square kilometers. As of 2018, the total population is 415000, mainly inhabited by Han, Yao, Zhuang and other nationalities. As of 2018, Pinggui district has one street, seven towns and one ethnic township, and the district government is located at No. 1 Pinggui Avenue, Xiwan street.
In 1934, the Mining Bureau of Guangxi Province set up an office in Xiwan, acting for Pingle and Guilin mining, so it was named Pinggui and has been used. In April 2007, the people's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region officially approved the establishment of Hezhou Pinggui administrative region as an agency of Hezhou people's government. On July 11, 2016, with the approval of the State Council, Pinggui District of Hezhou City was established. Pinggui district is a subtropical rainforest area with fertile land, mild climate, sufficient light and abundant rainfall. There are Hejiang River, wugongshui River, Xiaoliang River, Daping River and other tributaries in Pinggui district. The main rivers are Hejiang River, Fujiang River and Linjiang River, which belong to Xijiang River Basin and belong to Pearl River system. National Highway 207, 323, Luoyang Zhanjiang railway, Guanghe Expressway and Guiguang Expressway run through Pinggui.

In 2011, it was announced as the third batch of resource exhausted cities in China. In 2017, it was selected as the pilot county (District) of the national intellectual property project. On May 9, 2020, it was approved by the people's Government of the autonomous region to withdraw from the poverty-stricken counties.
Historical evolution
The origin of the name
The mining of tin, tungsten and coal in Pinggui mining area has a long history. The folk mining can be traced back to the Western Han Dynasty more than 2100 years ago. In the second year of Longqing (1568) of the Ming Dynasty, people from Fuchuan County mined tin ore in Baisha and Wanggao, refined tin blocks, and made jewelry and wine sets. In the sixth year of tongzhi (1867) of the Qing Dynasty, the residents of Xiwan daling, Laoshan, Tiantang and other places were mining coal and burning lime. In 1891, shangyingyihetang applied to the government for tax filing and set up jianzhulong tin mine in wanggaolitou. Later, Hongyuan, Baoheng and other companies set up one after another. In 1907, Zhang Mingqi appointed Zhang Jilong, the general manager of Guangdong and Guangxi military, to set up an official Mining Bureau in Daling, Xiwan, to mine coal by machinery and also to run tin mining industry. In 1907, Guangxi government set up an official Mining Bureau in Xiwan, which has a history of more than 100 years. In 1934, the Mining Bureau of Guangxi Province set up an office in Xiwan, acting Pingle and Guilin mining, so it was named "Pinggui" and has been used up to now.
Evolution of organizational system
In the sixth year of Dingding (111 BC), Fengyang, Linhe and Fuchuan were established. In the south of Pinggui District, Daping and Shuikou belong to Fengyang County. In the north, Wanggao belongs to Fuchuan County. In the middle, most of the towns belong to Linhe county. The three counties belong to Cangwu county. In the fifth year of Yuanfeng (106 BC), it was under the jurisdiction of Cangwu County of Jiaozhi Prefecture, and in the eighth year of Jian'an (203 BC) of the Eastern Han Dynasty, it was under the jurisdiction of Cangwu County of Jiaozhou Prefecture.
In the fifth year of Wu Huangwu (226) of the Three Kingdoms, Cangwu was divided into Linhe County, which governs Hejie town. Pinggui district belongs to Linhe County of Jingzhou.
The system of Jin and Wu. In the second year of Yongchu of Song Dynasty (421), Linhe county was changed into Linqing county. Pinggui district belongs to Linqing County of Jingzhou. In 470, Linhe county was changed into Linqing state, which ruled Linhe County; in 480, Linqing state was restored to Linhe county. Because of this, Liang and Chen. In the Southern Dynasties, Liang was divided into Linhe County, and Dangshan County was set up in the West. The county governs today's Gonghui Town, belonging to Linhe county.
In 589, Linhe county was abolished and Hezhou was established. In the early year of Daye (605-616), Hezhou was abolished, Fengyang County was changed into Cangwu County, and Linhe County, Dangshan County and Fuchuan County were changed into Hechuan County, belonging to Shi'an county.
In 621, the fourth year of Wude in Tang Dynasty, Hezhou was restored. It was located in Linhe County, which belonged to Hezhou with Fengyang, Guiling and Fuchuan. In the first year of Tianbao (742), Hezhou was changed into Linhe county and Dangshan County was restored. In the first year of Qianyuan (758), Linhe county was changed to Hezhou. In 908, the second year of Kaiping in the late Liang Dynasty, Ma Yin, the governor of Hunan Province, conquered Zhaozhou, Hezhou and other prefectures, and ruled Lingnan separately. He called himself the state of Chu (King of Chu). Pinggui District belonged to Chu. In the first year of Qianlong (948), the Southern Han Dynasty merged with Chu, and Pinggui District belonged to Hezhou and Fuzhou.
In 971, Fengyang County and Dangshan County of Taizu province entered Linhe Township, belonging to Hezhou. In the early Yuan Dynasty, Pinggui District belonged to Hezhou and Zhaozhou on Guangnan West Road. In the first year of Yuanzhen (1295), Guangnan West Road was under the jurisdiction of Hu Guangxing Zhongshu Province, Guangxi Liangjiang Road, and Pinggui district was under the jurisdiction of Hezhou, Guangxi Liangjiang road. In 1363, liangjiangdao was changed into xingzhongshu province in Guangxi. Pinggui district belongs to Hezhou, xingzhongshu Province in Guangxi.
At the end of the Yuan Dynasty, Hezhou led Linhe, Fuchuan and HUAIJI counties.
In September 1369, Hezhou was the capital of Xunzhou. Hongwu ten years (1377) may, withdraw Hezhou, renamed He county, changed to pingyuefu. Pinggui district belongs to pinglefuhe county and Fuchuan County.
Pinggui District in Qing Dynasty still belonged to He county and Fuchuan County of Pingle Prefecture.
In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), Pinggui district still belongs to He county and Fuchuan County of Pingle Prefecture. In the second year of the Republic of China (1913), Daohe county and Fuchuan County were abolished. In June 1914, Lijiang road was renamed Guilin road, belonging to Daohe county and Fuchuan County of Guilin. In 1926, Tao was abolished. In the 19th year of the Republic of China (1930), the mintuan district was established, belonging to He county and Zhongshan County of Pingle mintuan district (in October 1916, Zhongshan County was established in Fuchuan County). In 1934, the administrative supervision system was implemented, with the militia area as the supervision area. In 1940, administrative supervision was abolished and Pingle administrative supervision area was established. In 1949, it was changed into the first special area, and in October of the same year, it was under the jurisdiction of Guidong military and administrative region. Pinggui district belongs to Pingle special area (the first special area).
On November 21, 1949, Pinggui accompanied the liberation of Hezhou. After liberation, Pinggui district still belonged to He county and Zhongshan County. In July 1958, Pingle district was abolished, and Pinggui District belonged to He county and Zhongshan County of Wuzhou district. In 1970, Wuzhou district was renamed Wuzhou district. On February 27, 1997, Hezhou City (county-level city) was established in He county. Wuzhou area was renamed Hezhou area. Pinggui district belongs to Hezhou area, Hezhou City and Zhongshan County respectively. In June 2002, with the approval of the State Council, Hezhou district was abolished and prefecture level Hezhou City was established. The former county-level Hezhou City was renamed Babu District. Pinggui district belongs to Babu District and Zhongshan County respectively.
On April 9, 2007, the people's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region approved to adjust the administrative divisions of Zhongshan County and Babu District of Hezhou City, and put Wanggao town and Yangtou town of Zhongshan County under the jurisdiction of Babu District of Hezhou City; agreed to establish Pinggui administrative region, and put Huangtian Town, Shatian Town, etang Town, Gonghui Town, Shuikou Town, Daping Yao Township, Xiwan sub district office and New District Office of Babu District of Hezhou City under the jurisdiction of Babu District of Hezhou City Wanggao town and Yangtou town in Babu District of Hezhou City are under the jurisdiction of Pinggui administrative region. As the agency of Hezhou Municipal People's government, the administrative committee of Pinggui Administrative Region performs quite county (District) level management functions.
Pinggui management area was officially established on September 19, 2007. Its office address is tentatively determined to be in the original headquarters of Pinggui Mining Bureau, namely, No. 33, Pinggui South Road, Hezhou City.
On July 11, 2016, with the approval of the State Council, Pinggui District of Hezhou City was established. On December 2, Pinggui district was officially established.
