Linzhang County Linzhang county is a county under the jurisdiction of Handan City, Hebei Province. It is located in the southernmost part of Hebei Province and in the hinterland of the Central Plains. It looks at Taihang Mountain in the West and Qilu in the East. It is known as "the backbone of the world and the throat of the Central Plains". With a total area of 744.06 square kilometers and a total population of 720000, it governs seven towns and seven townships.
Linzhang, known as ye in ancient times, is the birthplace of Jian'an literature, the prosperous place of Buddhist culture, the birthplace of capital construction, the place where ximenbao threw witchcraft to control water, and the place where tongquetai is located. It enjoys the reputation of "the hometown of the Three Kingdoms and the ancient capital of the Six Dynasties". These idioms and allusions are all from Linzhang. Historical evolution
Linzhang, known as "Ye" in ancient times, is known as "the hometown of the Three Kingdoms and the ancient capital of the Six Dynasties". Yecheng has become the capital of the Six Dynasties of Cao Wei, Hou Zhao, ran Wei, Qian Yan, Eastern Wei and Northern Qi. It has been the political, economic, military and cultural center of the Yellow River Basin for four centuries.
In the spring and Autumn period, Duke Huan of Qi built Ye City, which has a history of 2700 years.
During the Warring States period, Wei Wenhou took Ye City as his capital.
The Western Han Dynasty belonged to Wei County, where the emperor Gaozu of Han Dynasty set up Ye County.
From the Eastern Han Dynasty to the Three Kingdoms period, it still belonged to Wei County, which was governed by Ye County.
In order to avoid the taboo of Sima ye, the Western Jin Dynasty changed the name of Ye City to "Linzhang", which got its name because it was adjacent to Zhanghe River in the north.
In the Northern Wei Dynasty, Ye County was set up, belonging to Wei County of Xiangzhou. Linzhang county was established in the Eastern Wei Dynasty.
From the Northern Qi Dynasty, the Northern Zhou Dynasty to the Sui Dynasty, it was divided into Ye County and Linzhang county.
In Tang and Song Dynasties, Ye County and Linzhang County belonged to Ye County. In 1073, Ye County was changed into a town, and Ye County was merged into Linzhang county.

During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Linzhang county was under the jurisdiction of Zhangde Prefecture of Henan Province. In 1385, Linzhang county was destroyed in zhangshui. Hongwu 27 years (1394), the county moved to Liwang Village (now Linzhang county).
During the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, Linzhang, Shexian, Wu'an, Anyang, Neihuang, Tangyin and Lin counties were under the jurisdiction of Zhangde prefecture (Anyang, Henan).
In the early years of the Republic of China, it was subordinate to Hebei Road in Henan Province, and its governance was in Weihui, Henan Province.
In the 13th year of the Republic of China, Tao was abandoned and directly under Henan Province.
During the Anti Japanese War, Linzhang still belonged to Henan Province.
After liberation, Zhangnan county was divided into Linzhang County, Weixian county and Anyang County in Anyang District of Henan Province. After the founding of new China, Linzhang county and Anyang County were divided into Hebei Province and Henan Province respectively.
It was incorporated into Cixian County in 1958. Linzhang county was restored in 1961. After 1993, it was under the jurisdiction of Handan City, Hebei Province.
