Mashan District, belonging to Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province, is located 59 kilometers west of Jixi central district. It is connected with Didao District in the northeast, Lishu District in the southeast, Muling City in the South and Linkou County in the West. The total population of the region is 38000 (in 2014), including 20000 urban population and 18000 rural population.

Mashan District covers a total area of 425 square kilometers. The district governs one township and one street. From January to June 2014, the GDP of the whole region reached 167.8 million yuan, down 3.4% compared with that of 2013.

Evolution of organizational system

In the late Qing Dynasty, it was under the jurisdiction of Muling county. during the period of the Republic of China, two villages, Mashan and Jixiang, were gradually formed under the jurisdiction of the Fourth District of Muling county. After the fall of Northeast China, mashanjia and jixiangjia were first set up under kuishanbao. In January of 1938, it was transferred to Kuishan village. In June 1939, suikuishan and other villages were put under the jurisdiction of Linkou county. In April 1947, the Mashan District was set up in Linkou county. In 1956, Mashan township was set up. In January 1957, it was under the jurisdiction of Jixi City and set up Mashan District.

Mashan District, located at 45 ° 12 ′ n, is located in the west of Jixi City.
