Beilun District Beilun District, belonging to Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, is located in the east of Zhejiang Province and the east of Ningbo City. The eastern part of the sea and Putuo county. Historical evolution
Beilun District is a place of "Dongyi" in Xia and Shang Dynasties. It was called Yue in Shaokang period. It was a place of Yue in spring and Autumn period and Warring States period.
In the middle of the Warring States period, the Yue nationality in the south of Zhejiang Province was still under the jurisdiction of its "Junchang".
Since 222 BC, the Qin Dynasty established Kuaiji County, which is under the jurisdiction of jurzhang County, Yin county and Jue county.
From the Qin and Han Dynasties, the Three Kingdoms of Wu, Jin, song, Qi, Liang and Chen, they are all in the east of the county.
In 589, the ninth year of Emperor Wen of the Sui Dynasty, Chen was destroyed in the Sui Dynasty, and three counties, Yin, Wei, and Yuyao, entered jurzhang County, which was the eastern border of jurzhang County under the jurisdiction of Wuzhou.
In the fourth year of Wude (621), Emperor Gaozu of Tang Dynasty, he analyzed jurzhang county and established Yaozhou and Yinzhou, which belonged to Yinzhou. In the eighth year of Wude, Yinzhou was abolished, and Yinzhou was called Xian County. In 809, the fourth year of Yuanhe reign of emperor Xianzong of the Tang Dynasty, Wanghai town was built at the Yongjiang estuary in the east of Fudong.
In 909, the third year of Kaiping (909), Emperor Taizu of the Liang Dynasty, He county was changed to Yin County, and Wanghai town was changed to Wanghai county.
Most of Beilun District is located in Yinxian County, which belongs to the Wanghai navy of Mingzhou in Wuyue state, but Chongqiu township (today's Xiaogang area) was located in Dinghai county.
In the first year of Jianlong (960), Emperor Taizu of Song Dynasty changed Wang navy to Fengguo army, and most of Beilun District was under Fengguo army Yin County, lumingzhou, Zhejiang Province. In 1077, Lingyan, Taiqiu and Haiyan in the east of Yinxian county were designated as Dinghai county. Together with Chongqiu Township, which was originally Dinghai County, the whole area was Dinghai county.
In Yuan and Ming Dynasties, Jianzhi attacked Song Dynasty.
In 1687, Dinghai county was renamed Zhenhai county (another Dinghai county was built in Changguo of Zhoushan the next year).
During the period of the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, Zhenhai county was abolished from the founding of the people's Republic of China to 1985 (Zhenhai county was abolished from November 1958 to 1962 and belonged to Ningbo City; in 1984, part of the coastal area was built).
In July 1985, Zhenhai county was divided into districts, with Yongjiang as the boundary, coastal area in the South and Zhenhai area in the north.
In July 1987, Binhai District was renamed Beilun District.

Ningbo Economic and Technological Development Zone was established with the approval of the State Council in October 1984, with a total area of 29.6 square kilometers. Daxie Development Zone was established in March 1993 with the approval of the State Council and enjoys the policy of national economic and Technological Development Zone. Daxie used to be an island town in Beilun District. The development of Daxie Island is a decision made by Rong Yiren, former vice president of China and founder of CITIC Corporation, after Deng Xiaoping's southern tour. Since its establishment, Daxie Island has been guided by infrastructure construction. Daxie sea crossing bridge and island ring road have been built one after another. A number of large port projects such as BP oil have been introduced. Daxie Island has become the largest crude oil transfer base in Asia.
Ningbo export processing zone was established in July 2002 with the approval of the State Council. Its main function is to reform the supervision mode of processing trade, attract foreign investment with preferential measures, and develop export processing industry with competitive ability in the international market, so as to achieve the purpose of utilizing foreign capital, introducing technology, increasing employment, earning foreign exchange, etc. Ningbo export processing zone is located in Daqi street, Beilun District, with a total area of 3 square kilometers.
In October 2002, in order to speed up the development of Beilun, Ningbo Municipal Party committee and government made a decision to straighten out the management system of Beilun District and development zone. The two districts merged and implemented "one team, two brands".
Meishan free trade port, established on February 24, 2008, is China's fifth free trade port after Yangshan, Tianjin Dongjiang, Dalian Dayaowan and Hainan Yangpu. The planned area is 7.7 square kilometers. Within the port operation area and the specific areas connected with it, the customs special supervision area with port functions integrates port operation, logistics and processing. Beilun District is located in the east of Ningshao plain. The northwest and middle parts of the terrain are separated by hills and plains. The hills belong to the remaining veins of Tiantai Mountain, with Taibai Mountain as the starting point, and the main mountain body is eastward, which is the main mountain area of Beilun District. The other mountains are collectively called Lingfeng mountain, with the base diving into the sea area and a group of islands and reefs distributed.
