Dafeng District, Dafeng District, Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province, is located on the coast of the Yellow Sea, in the east of Jiangsu Province and the south of Yancheng City. It is located at 32 ° 56 ′~ 33 ° 36 ′ N and 120 ° 13 ′~ 120 ° 56 ′ e, adjacent to the Yellow Sea in the East, Xinghua City in the west, Dongtai City in the South and Tinghu District of Yancheng City in the north. Dafeng County was established in May 1942 and renamed Dafeng County in August 1951. In August 1996, Dafeng County was abolished and Dafeng City at county level was established. In August 2015, Dafeng City at county level was abolished and Dafeng District of Yancheng city was established.
Dafeng is a shining pearl in the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration. Historical evolution
In the Tang Dynasty, today's Dafeng district belongs to Hailing County of Yangzhou (today's Taizhou City). The first year of the Southern Tang Dynasty (937) was under the jurisdiction of Hailing prison in Taizhou, the eastern capital of China. In the Northern Song Dynasty, there were Zizhuang, nanbayou, Dingxi, Zhuxi salt farms along the coast, which belonged to Taizhou. In the second year of Jianyan (1128) of the Southern Song Dynasty, the Yellow River seized Si and entered the Huai River. The coast silted to the East, and the territory expanded to the East. Today, the area from Dingxi to Datuan belongs to Taizhou, and to the north of the new doulonggang line belongs to Yancheng County of Chuzhou.
In Yuan Dynasty, there were 29 salt farms in Lianghuai. In Dafeng, there are Heduo farm (North), Dingxi farm, Xiaohai farm, Caoyan farm, Baiju farm, Wuyou farm (southeast), etc. Baiju farm and Liuzhuang farm belong to Xinghua County, Yangzhou road; Wuyou farm belongs to Yancheng County, Huai'an road; the rest belong to Hailing County, Taizhou, Yangzhou road.
In the first year of Hongwu (1368) of Ming Dynasty, Taizhou Branch of Lianghuai salt transportation department was set up, and it was first stationed in Taizhou. In the 15th year of Zhengde (1520) of Ming Dynasty, it was moved to Xixi. He duo Chang, Ding Xi Chang, Xiao Hai Chang and Cao Yan Chang are under their jurisdiction. Administratively, except for Wu you, the other six salt farms belong to the 35 capitals of Dongxi Township, Taizhou, Yangzhou.
In 1619, the jurisdiction of Baiju farm and Liuzhuang farm was transferred from Taizhou to Yancheng county. Soon, it was transferred from Yancheng county to Xinghua County.
In the first year of Qianlong reign of Qing Dynasty (1736), Baiju farm was incorporated into Caoyan farm. In 1767, Liu zhuangchang was incorporated into Caoyan. In 1768, Dongtai county was established in the eastern part of Taizhou. The local administration of Dingxi, Xiaohai and Caoyan was changed to Dongtai county. The local administration of Baiju farm and Liuzhuang farm belongs to Xinghua County.
In 1917, Zhang Jian and Zhang Cha of Nantong founded "Huainan caoyanchang Dafeng salt reclamation Co., Ltd." they recruited Nantong and Haimen people to reclaim the kitchen, and opened up a vast area in the east of Dafeng to plant cotton.
In 1927, the national government set up the administrative supervision district. Dongtai county and Xinghua County were assigned to the sixth administrative supervision district of Jiangsu Province. Later, the sixth administrative supervision district was renamed Yancheng administrative supervision district.
In 1929, Dingxi, Xiaohai and Caoyan all belonged to the Ninth District of Dongtai county. Baiju and Liuzhuang belong to the Sixth District of Xinghua County.
In the 29th year of the Republic of China (1940), the New Fourth Army led by the Communist Party of China went north after a decisive battle with the Kuomintang diehards in Taizhou, and today Dafeng area was liberated.
In May 1941, Dongtai county was divided into Xiaohai District, Reclamation District and xizha district under the leadership of the democratic government of Dongtai county.
In October 1941, the democratic government of Dongtai county set up the Taipei executive office in the original ninth district (the rudiment of the county government, which replaced the Dongtai county government to exercise the administrative leadership in the area).
In May 1942, Dongtai county was transformed into Taibei County, which belonged to the second division of central China Bureau.
In October 1944, when the second division Commissioner Office of the central Jiangsu administrative office was abolished, Taipei County was abolished and merged into Dongtai county again, belonging to the fourth division of the central Jiangsu administrative office.
In November 1945, the system of Taipei County was established again, which was subordinate to the first special office of the people's Government of Jiangsu Anhui border region.
In April 1949, the people's Administrative Office of Northern Jiangsu was established. On May 15, 1949, Taizhou Commissioner's office was established, and Taipei County was subordinate to Taizhou Commissioner's office.
In 1950, Taipei County was changed from Taizhou to Yancheng.
In August 1951, because Taipei County had the same name as Taipei County in Taiwan Province, it was named Dafeng County after the two big towns of Dazhong and Xinfeng at that time.
In January 1953, the two administrative regions of northern and southern Jiangsu merged with Nanjing city to form Jiangsu Province. Dafeng County belongs to Jiangsu Province. In 1970, Yancheng district was changed into Yancheng District, and Dafeng County is still under the jurisdiction of Yancheng district.
In March 1983, Yancheng district was abolished and prefecture level Yancheng city was established. Dafeng County was subordinate to Yancheng City.
