Youjiang District Youjiang district is under the jurisdiction of Baise City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of the people's Republic of China. Youjiang district is located in the west of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and the upper reaches of Youjiang river of Xijiang River System in Pearl River Basin. It is the junction of Yunnan, Guizhou and Guangxi provinces (regions), transportation hub and border material distribution center. Facing the ASEAN market, Youjiang district is an important channel for the southwest to go to sea, and it is also the municipal Party committee and municipal government of Baise It is a political, economic and cultural center with special geographical advantages.
By the end of 2010, Youjiang district has jurisdiction over two streets, four towns, two townships and one ethnic township. According to the data of the fifth census, Youjiang district has a total population of 340483.
On January 25, 2019, Youjiang district was selected as the national "safe agricultural machinery" Demonstration County in 2018.
In March 2019, it was selected into the list of the first batch of revolutionary cultural relics protection and utilization areas and counties.
Historical evolution
Youjiang district has a long history. On the third and fourth terraces on both sides of Youjiang River in Nabi Township and Sitang Town, processed Paleolithic tools such as scrape, stone core, hand pick and stone flake were successively found and collected, which proves that human activities existed in Youjiang district at least tens of thousands of years ago. Baise was the place of Baiyue in ancient times. After Qin Shihuang set up three counties (Guilin County, Nanhai county and Xiang county) in Lingnan, Baise became Xiang county. After Emperor Hanwu pacified Nanyue, Baise belonged to ZengShi County of Guilin county. In the Tang Dynasty, Jimi Tianzhou (the state was governed by the ancient city corner in the south of the city, now Dahe village of Nabi township), Jimi guile prefecture (now Yongle township) and Wulong county (now Bailan Township and part of Bama County) were set up in Baise, which were under the jurisdiction of Yongzhou governor's office. In Yuan Dynasty, Baise was called Tianzhou. In the seventh year of Yongzheng reign (1729) of the Qing Dynasty, there was a department system in Tianzhou and tuzhou. Li Miao Tongzhi, who moved to si'en's residence, was stationed in Baise and set up Baise department. The city was built the next year. Baise has a history of 270 years since its establishment in 1730 (2000). In the first year of Guangxu (1875), Tianzhou changed its land to Liugui and upgraded Baise hall to Baise Zhili hall. In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), Baise Zhili hall was changed into Baise Prefecture. On December 11, 1929, the Baise uprising won and the temporary Soviet government of Baise county was established. on December 5, 1949, Baise county was liberated and returned to the leadership of Baise prefecture (the executive office was stationed in Baise City). In October 1983, with the approval of the State Council, Baise county was changed into Baise City. In 2000, Youjiang district had jurisdiction over four towns, seven townships and one ethnic township: Baise Town, Longchuan Town, Yangwei Town, Sitang Town, Bailan Township, Daling Township, Longhe Township, Dajiang Township, Nabi Township, Yongle Township, Wangdian Yao Township and Panshui township. In 2005, Baise town was abolished and Baicheng sub district office was set up under the jurisdiction of Baise town; Nabi township was abolished and Longjing sub district office was set up under the jurisdiction of 6 communities and 12 administrative villages; Dahe and Fanping administrative villages of Nabi Township were divided into Sitang town and Yangwei town respectively; Dajiang township was merged into Yangwei town; Longhe township was merged into Daling township; Bailan township was merged into Sitang town. On June 28, 2005, Baicheng sub district office and Longjing sub district office were officially established. In 2000, Baise city covers an area of 3720 square kilometers and has a population of about 300000. It has jurisdiction over 4 towns and 8 townships (including 1 ethnic township): Baise Town, Longchuan Town, Yangwei Town, Sitang Town, Bailan Township, Daling Township, Longhe Township, Dajiang Township, Nabi Township, Yongle Township, Wangdian Yao Township and Panshui township. The municipal government is located in Baise town. According to the fifth census in 2000, the total population of Baise city is 340483. Among them, there are 125572 in Baise Town, 19730 in Yangwei Town, 17250 in Sitang Town, 31150 in Longchuan Town, 49415 in Nabi Township, 18653 in Yongle Township, 23883 in Wangdian Yao Township, 14887 in Dajiang Township, 10169 in Daling Township, 12045 in Longhe Township, 9777 in Panshui Township and 7952 in Bailan township. The district government is located at 19 Xiangyang Road, Baicheng street. in 2013, the government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (GZH No. 140) approved the change of Yongle township to town system. After the adjustment, Youjiang district has jurisdiction over two streets, four towns and three townships (including one ethnic township): Baicheng street, Longjing street, Yangwei Town, Sitang Town, Longchuan Town, Yongle Town, Wangdian Yao Township, Daling Township and Panshui township. in August 2013, with the approval of the autonomous region, the organizational system of Yongle Township in Youjiang district was changed to town organizational system.

The area of flat land is 113.84 square kilometers, and the area of water surface is 81.06 square kilometers.
