Danfeng County Danfeng County, a county under the jurisdiction of Shangluo City, Shaanxi Province, is located in the southeast of Shaanxi Province, at the southern foot of the eastern section of the Qinling Mountains. It is named after the county with Danjiang River in its lap and Fengguan mountain in its back. It is under the jurisdiction of Shangluo city. The terrain is higher in the northwest and lower in the southeast, with alternating valleys and palm shaped landforms. It is a tushishan county with nine mountains, half water and half farmland. With a forest coverage rate of 70%, the county is the "back garden" of Xi'an, the capital of Shaanxi Province. It is the fiefdom of the famous reformer Shang Yang, the seclusion of Si Hao, and the hometown of the famous contemporary writer Jia Pingwa.
On September 25, 2018, it won the honorary title of "2018 e-commerce into rural comprehensive demonstration county" of the Ministry of Commerce.
In March 2019, it will be listed in the first batch of counties for the protection and utilization of revolutionary cultural relics. On December 31, 2019, it will be selected as a typical county of rural innovation and entrepreneurship in China. On February 27, 2020, the people's Government of Shaanxi Province approved that Danfeng County officially withdrew from the poverty-stricken county sequence.
In July 2020, Danfeng County was confirmed as the national health county in 2019 by the National Association for health care.
History of construction
Danfeng County was granted by Yin Qi in ancient times, and it was the state of Shang. In the Shang and Zhou dynasties, it was the land of the ancient state of Chen, in the spring and Autumn period, it was the land of Chu, and it was occupied by the state of Qin in 351 BC.
Before 340 years for Shangyang fief, known as Shangyi. In 337 B.C., Shang county was set up in Shangyi (governing the Ancient Town Village), which governs Shangzhou District and most of Danfeng, Shangnan and Shanyang counties. In the fourth year of the Ding reign of the Han Dynasty (113 BC), Shangluo county was set up in the west of Shangluo county. In the Wei Dynasty of the Three Kingdoms, Shangluo county was changed to Shangluo county (in today's Shangzhou city). At that time, the jurisdiction of Shangxian county was most of today's Danfeng, Shangnan and Shanyang counties. In 226, Fengyang County (now Shanyang County) was set up in the south. In the first year of Jingming in the Northern Wei Dynasty (500), nanshang county (now Shangnan county) was established in the east of the territory.
In 584, Emperor Wen of the Sui Dynasty changed Shang County into Shangluo County, governing the present and Shangnan counties, and governing the present ancient villages.
In 619, Tang Wude moved Shangluo county to Jinyang village.

In the 26th year of Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty (1761), Longju Village (now Longju Village Town, Danfeng County, Shaanxi Province) was established, which was the Zhili Prefecture of Shangzhou in Tongshang Road, Shaanxi Province. It was abolished in 1912.
In the fourth year of the Republic of China (1915), it was established as the county assistant of Shang county and stationed in Longju village, which was abolished in the 20th year of the Republic of China (1932). In 1946, Longju Village Office of the Fourth District of Shaanxi Province was set up. In 1948, the office was withdrawn, and Longju County of Shaanxi Province was established as the administrative bureau (under the third class county system), which was located in longjuzhai town (now longjuzhai Town, Danfeng County, Shaanxi Province).
On June 1, 1949, Danfeng County was established, and Longju village was under the jurisdiction of the county. At the beginning, it was under the jurisdiction of Shangluo District of the office of the executive director of Southern Shaanxi in Henan Shaanxi Hubei border region. In February 1950, it was under the jurisdiction of Shangluo District of Shaanxi Province. In December 1958, the county was withdrawn and its jurisdiction was incorporated into Shang County, Shangnan county and Shanyang County respectively. On October 1, 1961, Danfeng County was officially restored, under the office of the Commissioner of Shaanxi Province.
On January 15, 1981, it was reconstituted as the people's Government of Danfeng County, subordinate to Shangluo District of Shangluo administrative office of Shaanxi Province.
Since 2002, it belongs to Shangluo city.

Danfeng County is located in Shangluo area in the southeast of Shaanxi Province and the southern foot of the eastern Qinling Mountains.
