Lighthouse Lighthouse City is a county-level city located in the middle of Liaoning Province, which is subordinate to Liaoyang City. It borders Sujiatun District of Shenyang City in the north, Benxi City in the East, Liaoyang City and Liaoyang County in the south, and Hunhe River in the West.
Lighthouse City is located in the north of Liaodong Peninsula and the middle reaches of Taizi River. Shen Da railway and Shen Hai Expressway cross the city. It covers an area of 1313 square kilometers and has a population of 510000 (2004).

Historical evolution

During the Warring States period, it belonged to Liaodong county.
In the Western Han Dynasty, Liaoyang County was in the north and Xiangping County in the south.
In the Eastern Han Dynasty, it belonged to xuantu County, and followed the local regime of Houyan in the Sixteen States of the Eastern Jin Dynasty.
From the northern Yan Dynasty to the Sui Dynasty, it belonged to the governor of Liaocheng Prefecture.

In 1914, Liaoyang Prefecture was changed into Liaoyang County. After the victory of "September 3" in 1945, Yantai District, Huazi district and tongerbao district were set up under the jurisdiction of the lighthouse, which was under the leadership of Liaoyang County. In March 1946, the Kuomintang occupied Liaoyang City. In the 37th year of the Republic of China (February 1948), the people's Liberation Army was stationed for the second time.
After October 1949, Yantai District, huazi District, zhangtaizi District, Shahu district and tongerbao district were set up under the jurisdiction of the lighthouse, which was under the leadership of Liaoyang City.
In 1959, the city and county merged into Liaoyang City, which is under the jurisdiction of Anshan City.
In 1961, the city and county were divided, and now the lighthouse is under the leadership of Liaoyang County.
On October 10, 1968, Liaoyang County was abolished and merged into Liaoyang City; meanwhile, lighthouse district (county level) was set up, with 11 communes, 1 town and 1 Farm under its jurisdiction. In 1978, dongjingling commune was put under the leadership of Liaoyang City. Liutiao commune, Shendan commune, tongerbao commune and Wangjia commune in Shaling District of Liaoyang City were incorporated into lighthouse district.
On April 15, 1980, the State Council approved the abolition of Dengta district and the establishment of Dengta County, which is located in Dengta town. Dengta District of Liaoyang City is the administrative area of Dengta county and is under the jurisdiction of Liaoyang City.
In December 1981, two communes, Dahenan and Danzhuangzi, were established. In April 1983, the system of commune, production brigade and production team was abolished, and the system of township and Town People's government, villagers' committee and villagers' group was implemented.
On April 1, 1984, with the approval of Liaoning provincial government, Dengta county set up six towns: Dengta, huazi, shendanbao, tongerbao, zhangtaizi and Xidayao. In the same year, a Korean village committee was set up in dongmenghutun village, Dahenan township.
On November 6, 1987, Liaoning Provincial Government approved Dengta county to add Liren Township and Wuxing Township, and Zhangshu township was renamed Luodatai township. Liren Township governs 10 administrative villages of Minsheng No.1, Minsheng No.2, xisanjiazi, dongqitaizi, yangjiawopeng, gaojiawopeng, gaoshagouzi, lirentun, luojiawozi and Zhuanghe originally belonging to tongerbao town. The township government is located in lirentun village.
On August 27, 1996, the Ministry of Civil Affairs approved the abolition of Dengta county and the establishment of Dengta city (county level). It has jurisdiction over 13 towns and 7 townships.
On January 8, 2002, Liaoning Provincial Government approved: to abolish Liren Township and Wuxing town and merge them into Wuxing town; to abolish Danzhuangzi town and tongerbao town and merge them into tongerbao town; to abolish Shahu town and Luodatai town and merge them into Luodatai town; to abolish huazi Township and huazi town and merge them into huazi town. After the adjustment, Dengta city has jurisdiction over 3 streets, 12 towns and 1 township.
On October 18, 2009, Liaoning provincial government agreed to put Jieguan village, gaoyingqiang village, zhangtaizi Town, Dengta city and Jianshanzi village, Luodatai town under the jurisdiction of dongjingling Township, Taizihe district.
At the end of 2011, Luodatai town of Dengta city was put under the jurisdiction of Wensheng District, and Wangjia town of Dengta city was put under the jurisdiction of Taizihe district.

Shilihe
Shili river is a tributary of Beisha river. It originates from Yangling and Bapanling in liuhezi Town, Dengta city. The other source (South Branch) is zhimaling in huazi town. The river is 41 km long, with a drainage area of 268 square kilometers.
Daijiagou
Daijiagou, a tributary of Beisha River, originates from wulitai village, wanbaoqiao street, with a river length of 20.9 kilometers and a drainage area of 91.3 square kilometers.
Mafeng River
