Historical evolution
During the Zhou Dynasty, Faku belonged to the territory of Yan state. After Qin Dynasty unified China, there were three counties in Northeast China, namely youbeiping, Liaoxi and Liaodong. Liaodong county includes some areas to the west of Liaohe River. Faku belongs to Liaodong county. During the reign of Emperor Guangwu of Han Dynasty, Faku belonged to Youzhou. From the first year of Ping in the early Han Dynasty (190) to the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Faku was the activity area of Murong department in Xianbei, which belonged to Pingzhou. it was a territory of Khitan in Sui Dynasty. The Tang Dynasty was the capital of Yingzhou and liaozhou. In the Liao Dynasty, the villages in the east of Faku were under the jurisdiction of Qizhou (now Kangping Xiaotazi), while the western area was under the jurisdiction of Shangjing Daowei. The western part of Faku was subordinate to Lingshan County, the northeast part was subordinate to Qingyun County of Xianping, and the southeast part was under the jurisdiction of Shuangcheng County of Shenzhou (today's Shifosi ancient city).
