Jingxiu District Jingxiu District, Baoding City, Hebei Province. It is a new type of urban-rural area and the political, economic, financial and media center of Baoding city.
The name of Jingxiu district comes from "Langfeng Jingxiu", one of the eight scenic spots in Baoding in history. It means that when you climb the west wall of Baoding on a sunny day, you can see the majestic appearance of Langya Mountain, 35 kilometers northwest of Baoding. In May 2015, the new urban area was renamed Jingxiu district. The original new urban area is located in the west half of Baoding City, near Langya Mountain, and there is "Jingxiu Park" in the area under its jurisdiction, so it is named.
Jingxiu district has five streets and five townships, with a total administrative area of 139 square kilometers and a permanent resident population of 500000. Large state-owned enterprises such as lucky film and Baoding National High tech Industrial Development Zone are all located in Jingxiu district.
In 2017, the GDP reached 19.2 billion yuan.
In April 2020, Jingxiu district was selected as "the best county (city, district) in sports work in 2019" by Hebei Provincial Sports Bureau.
History of construction
In December 1959, Baoding set up Luxi District, which has jurisdiction over 7 branches and 99 production teams of urban people's commune.
In 1960, Luxi district was incorporated into Baoding city.
In July 1961, the urban area of Baoding was abolished and a new urban area was built in the west of Huancheng West Road.
In May 2015, with the approval of the State Council, the new urban area was renamed Jingxiu district.

In November 1987, the suburb of Baoding was abolished, and Hancun, Nanqi, Jiezhuang, and Fuchang were assigned to the new urban area, which became a suburban urban area combining urban and rural areas.
In February 1999, with the approval of Hebei provincial government, Baoding Municipal government adjusted the jurisdiction of some counties and districts, adding Jiangcheng Township and damafang Township in the new urban area; zhanghaizhuang village, Jiazhuang village, sunjiatang village and Xiazhuang village in Mancheng County were assigned to Nanqi township; Chenzhuang village, Balizhuang village and xueliuying Village in Hancun Township in the new urban area were assigned to Beishi District; zhonglianliang village and xilianliang village in Jiezhuang Township were assigned to Hancun township.
In 2001, Huazhuang village and Caozhuang village of damafang Township in the new urban area were assigned to Baoding high tech Zone.
In 2003, siliying village and xidayuan village of Jiezhuang Township were assigned to Dongfeng Street; luosizhuang village of Jiezhuang township was assigned to Xianfeng street; lingyusi village of Fuchang township was assigned to Dongfeng Street, Houtun village was assigned to Jianshe South Road Street; donglianliang village of Hancun township was assigned to Hanbei street, Gaomiao village and zhonglianliang village were assigned to xinshichang street.
In December 2008, damafang Township and dabiantuo village of Hancun Township in the new urban area were entrusted to Baoding high tech Zone.
On December 31, 2020, Jiangcheng township will be abolished and dajidian town will be established.

Jingxiu district is located in Baoding City, bordering Lianchi District in the East, Mancheng District in the West and North, Qingyuan District in the south. It spans 115 ° 21 ′ - 25 ′ E and 38 ° 51 ′ - 56 ′ n, 141 km from Beijing, 155 km from Tianjin, and 124.8 km from Shijiazhuang, the capital of Hebei Province. Jingxiu district is located in the west of Hebei Plain, adjacent to Taihang Mountain in the west, Jizhong plain in the East, and Taihang Mountain hilly area 20 kilometers in the northwest. The whole area belongs to the middle and lower part of the impact fan of the Daqinghe River system. The terrain is relatively flat and open, with slight ups and downs in some parts. The general trend is gradually inclined from northwest to Southeast, forming a slope of one thousandth. The highest ground elevation is 29.4 meters in Yimuquan village in the northwest suburb, and the lowest is 17.1 meters in Chenzhuang village on the northeast border.
The landform of Jingxiu district is mainly divided into the following two types.
Alluvial fan plain: due to the eastward discharge of the northwest Piedmont boundary river and the northern Caohe River in the upper reaches of the Daqinghe River system, the river carries a large amount of sediment and swings in a fan-shaped belt. A number of finger shaped gentle hills with different lengths and widths have been formed in the basin. After long-term cultivation and leveling, the finger shaped gentle hills no longer exist. Different areas of Inter fan depressions are naturally distributed between gentle hills, and the soil is developed into cinnamon soil type.
Piedmont overflow zone: due to the influence of special hydrogeological structure in Piedmont, groundwater overflows the ground, and Yimuquan, Heifeng, Jiji, Wuhua, Lianzhu and Honghua springs are formed in Yimuquan village and its south and West surrounding areas. The soil in the spring zone is fluvo aquic soil.
