Jinwan District, Jinwan District, Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province, is located in the southwest of Zhuhai City, on the coast of the South China Sea between Modaomen and yamen at the Pearl River Estuary. As of 2019, Jinwan District has jurisdiction over four towns (Hongqi, Sanzao, Pingsha and nanshai) and two industrial zones (LIANGANG industrial zone and Aviation Industrial Park), with an area of 447.6 square kilometers and a total population of 210000 (2018).

Jinwan District is one of the three administrative districts of Zhuhai City. It was officially approved by the State Council on April 4, 2001. There are 254 Enterprises above Designated Size in the District, focusing on the development of aviation, biomedicine, new energy, modern service industry and other industries. There are golden beach, Feisha Beach, Hebao Island, Amazon tribe, Haiquanwan, WULINYUAN, Xanadu and other tourist attractions in the district.

Historical evolution

Zhuhai county was founded on April 7, 1953. The scope of the administrative region is based on the jurisdiction of the fishermen District of Zhongshan County, which is further divided into Qianshan, Nanping, Wanchai, guanzha, Sanzao, Xiaolin, nanshai and Wanqingsha of Dongguan county. The county government is located in the Tang family, under the central Guangdong administrative office.

On July 19, 1965, with the approval of the State Council, Doumen County was established under the jurisdiction of Foshan, Guangdong Province.

In July 1983, Doumen County belonged to Zhuhai City and became a county under the jurisdiction of Zhuhai City.
