Historical evolution
It is named after Qingshui River. In the first year of Emperor Qianlong of Qing Dynasty (1736), the Qingshuihe court was set up, and in the tenth year of Guangxu of Qing Dynasty (1884), it was changed into the court for pacifying the people. In 1914, it was changed into Qingshuihe County, which was subordinate to Suiyuan special district.
