Xuzhou District, belonging to Yibin City, Sichuan Province, is located in the southern edge of Sichuan Basin, the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, the lower reaches of Jinsha River and Minjiang River, and the junction of Sichuan and Yunnan provinces. The terrain is long from north to South and narrow from east to west, high in the southwest and low in the northeast. The west is the remnant of Xiaoliangshan mountain, the south is the northern slope of Yunnan Guizhou Plateau, and the northeast is a hilly area in the basin. The district covers an area of 2570 square kilometers and has 17 townships (streets), including 3 streets, 2 townships and 12 towns.
Xuzhou, also known as Bodao, has a long history. It has a history of more than 2000 years since it was built in the sixth year of gaohou in the Western Han Dynasty (182 BC). There have emerged such historical and cultural celebrities as Zhao Yiman, an anti Japanese national heroine (originally from Yibin County), Liu Hua, leader of the modern labor movement, Lu Deming, commander in chief of the Autumn Harvest Uprising (formerly from Yibin County), Zheng Youzhi, king of agriculture in southern Sichuan, and Luo Zhewen, an ancient architect.
On December 6, 2019, it was selected as the pilot unit of promoting the quality improvement of farmers' cooperatives in the whole county.
Historical evolution
Bodao city was built in the second six years of the Han Dynasty (182 BC).
In the Sui Dynasty, Nan'an county (today's Leshan) was located in xuanhuaba, Xianxi town. The county government was located in Sanjiangkou, Yibin. Bodao (urban area) was the county government of Qianwei.
In the first year of Tang Tianbao (742), cunma county was changed to be a guest of honor by the ethnic minority "Muyi Laibin".
In 976, Yibin was changed to Yibin. In 1071, Yibin County was reduced to Yibin town and merged into Bodao county. In 1114, Yibin County was renamed as Yibin County. The city is located in jiuzhouba in the north of the river.
In 1267, Yibin County was moved to denggaoshan (nine years in total), which is now the east of the old city of Sanjiangkou.
In 1276, Yibin County was relocated back to Sanjiangkou city.
In the sixth year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1373), Xuzhou road was changed to "Xuzhou capital", and its governing seat was still in Yibin County.
In 1644, the first year of Shunzhi in Qing Dynasty, Xuzhou Prefecture was set up to govern Yibin County.
In 1913, the government was abolished. The word "xuzhoufu" has become history.
In June 1951, after Yibin City was set up, it was attached to Yibin City.
On June 19, 2018, the State Council approved the adjustment of some administrative divisions of Yibin City in Sichuan Province (Guo Han [2018] No. 89): Yibin County was abolished and Xuzhou District of Yibin City was established. In June 1951, Yibin City was set up in the urban area of Yibin County under the leadership of Yibin special office. Yibin special office was located in Yibin City, and Yibin County was relocated from Yibin City to Xijie town;

On September 9, 1983, the Jinping District of Yibin County and its nine communes were put under the jurisdiction of Yibin City. Xijie district is the four communes of Sibo, Zongchang, Tianxing and Jincheng, and the Richeng commune of Anbian district.
On March 5, 1986, there were 21 groups, 791 households and 3212.21 mu of cultivated land in the Goutou formation of Huayang village, Wangchang Township, Yibin County, 11 groups of Xiangyao village and 9 groups of Shiyang village, Caotang Township, which were under the jurisdiction of Fushun County.
On December 24, 2003, Zhenxi township of Yibin County was renamed Xinfa Township, and the two villages of Zhenxi Township and Gaochang town of Yibin County, jiangba and Shipan, were put under the jurisdiction of Pingshan County, and the township government was stationed in Xinnong.
In 2012, Pu'an township was abolished and Pu'an town was established. The people's Government of Pu'an town was stationed in Zhouba village, which governed the administrative region of the former Pu'an township.

Water system hydrology
Xuzhou district is located in the Yangtze River Basin, where Jinsha River and Minjiang River pass through. There are 357 branches of small and medium rivers (streams), with a total length of 1582 km, a dendritic river network, and a density of 0.52 km / km2.
Jinsha River, also known as Mahu River, or Lushui River, flows from Pingshan County, flows southward through Anbian Town, Pu'an Town, Baixi town and Zhaochang street, and flows into the Yangtze River at Sanjiangkou of Nanan street, rolling eastward. Xiangjiaba hydropower station is located in Anbian town and Jinsha River, Shuifu City, Yunnan Province.
Minjiang River, formerly known as Wenjiang River and Dujiang River, flows from Qianwei county to the southeast through Nixi Town, Gubai Town, Xianxi town and Gaochang Town, and joins the Yangtze River at Sanjiangkou.
Hengjiang River, also known as Shimen River, flows into Jinsha River from Gaoxian to xiaoanba in Anbian town.
