Jishan County Jishan County, known as "gaoliangyi" in ancient times, is a county under the jurisdiction of Yuncheng City, Shanxi Province. The jurisdiction is located in the southwest of Shanxi Province, the junction of North China, Northwest China and central China, and the north end of Yuncheng City. It is adjacent to Xinjiang county in the East, Hejin City in the west, Jiwang mountain in the south, Wenxi County and Wanrong County, and Luliang Mountain in the north, Xiangning county.
Jishan county is the hometown of Houji, belonging to Jichuan in ancient times, Jin in spring and autumn, Wei in Warring States, and Jiangzhou in Tang Dynasty. Jishan county is a large cultural relic County in Shanxi Province. The representative cultural relics in the county include Jiwang temple, the largest temple for offering sacrifices to Houji, and the largest statue of Sakyamuni. Jishan county is an important business town in southern Shanxi, known as "small Tianjin and dry dock at the junction of Shanxi, Shaanxi and Henan".

Historical evolution
The spring and Autumn period is called "Ji", belonging to Jin Dynasty. In Han Dynasty, it was located in Wenxi County of Hedong county.
In 487, Gaoliang county and county were set up 15 kilometers southeast of Chengguan, which is under the jurisdiction of dongyongzhou.
Datong middle-aged in the Western Wei Dynasty set up nanfenzhou in the present county, and the county moved to the present Hejin City. In 554, the southern Fenzhou was changed to Xunzhou, and the Northern Zhou was promoted to the general manager's office. In the early years of Wucheng, Xunzhou was abolished and Jiangzhou was moved here. In 577, the county government moved to Wucheng village, 6 kilometers southwest of Chengguan.
In 583, Jiangzhou moved to Xinjiang. In 600, Gaoliang county was changed to Jishan county and Chengguan county was moved to Xinjiang. In Tang Dynasty, it belonged to Jiangzhou, Jiangjun and Hezhong Prefecture. The Five Dynasties belonged to Jiangzhou.
Song belongs to Jiangzhou county. Jin Xingding belongs to Jin'an Prefecture in the early years. The yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties were still Jiangzhou.
In the early years of the Republic of China, the state was abandoned, and the county was changed into Hedong Road, which was directly under the province.
In 1949, it belonged to the Xinjiang region of southern Shanxi and belonged to the Shaanxi Gansu Ningxia border region. After returning to Shanxi Province, it belongs to Yuncheng district.
In 1954, Yuncheng and Linfen were merged into Jinnan special office.
In 1958, Jishan County, Hejin County, most of Wanrong county and part of Xiangning county were merged into Jishan County, which belongs to Jinnan special office.
In 1959, the former Wanrong county was transferred to Jishan and the territory was separated.
In 1961, Hejin county was separated out, Xipo and Weizhuang communes returned to Xiangning, and Jishan county was restored to its original appearance.
In 1970, Jinnan special office was divided into Linfen and Yuncheng special offices. Later, it was changed into the administrative office, which was subordinate to Yuncheng administrative office.
In 2003, Yuncheng City was built from land, and Jishan city belongs to Yuncheng City.
