The origin of the name

In the early Qing Dynasty, following the system of Wei Suo in the Ming Dynasty, Pingluo County was established in the second year of Yongzheng, which belongs to Ningxia Prefecture of Gansu Province. Pingluo County is the voice of Pinglu.

Historical evolution

During the Western Zhou, Eastern Zhou, spring and Autumn period and Warring States period, there were tribes living in Rongdi.

In 1945, Pingluo County was under the jurisdiction of the third administrative supervision office of Ningxia. Two months later, the third Commissioner supervision district of Ningxia was abolished and changed to Yinbei special district, and Pingluo County was under its jurisdiction.

On September 25, 1949, the whole territory of Pingluo County was liberated, the people's Government of Pingluo was established, and Pingluo County was directly under the jurisdiction of Ningxia Province.

In 1954, Ningxia Province was merged into Gansu Province, and Yinchuan district was established. Pingluo County was under the jurisdiction of Yinchuan district.

In 1958, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region was established, Yinchuan special region was abolished, and Pingluo County was directly under the jurisdiction of the autonomous region.

In 1972, Yinbei area was established, and Pingluo County was subordinate to Yinbei area.

In 1975, Yinbei district was abolished and Pingluo County was transferred to Shizuishan city.
