The origin of the name

In the early Qing Dynasty, following the system of Wei Suo in the Ming Dynasty, Pingluo County was established in the second year of Yongzheng, which belongs to Ningxia Prefecture of Gansu Province. Pingluo County is the voice of Pinglu.

On September 25, 1949, the whole territory of Pingluo County was liberated, the people's Government of Pingluo was established, and Pingluo County was directly under the jurisdiction of Ningxia Province.

In 1954, Ningxia Province was merged into Gansu Province, and Yinchuan district was established. Pingluo County was under the jurisdiction of Yinchuan district.
