Huazhou City, a county-level city managed by Maoming City in Guangdong Province, is called Shilong in ancient times. It is named "the hometown of Chinese orange" because of its rich production of orange. It is known as orange Town, Orange City and orange state. Its topography is long and narrow, like a lion. There is Fuliang mountain in the north of Huazhou. There is Longwang mountain in the northeast, also called Laian mountain. The northern boundary of Maoming lies in the northeast, namely Doujiang river. Another branch of northeast Lingshui flows from Guangxi to the north. After entering the country, it reaches hejiangxu in the southwest. Luoshui also flows in from the land. It is called Luojiang or lingluoshui. Qudongnan passes through Zhouzhi in the north, joins Jianjiang River and flows southeast into Wuchuan to Nanhai.
Huazhou is one of China's famous bases for transporting vegetables from south to north, and has the reputation of "hometown of Chinese orange".
Historical evolution
Although Huazhou was connected with China geographically, it was not included in the territory of China at the time of the three kings and five emperors, and was called "the land of barbarians" by the Chinese. Qin unified China, calmed Yangyue, and divided Nanhai, Guilin and Xiang into three counties in South Vietnam. At that time, Huazhou belonged to Xiang county. By the time of Qin II, Chen Sheng and Wu Guang were in trouble, and the heroes rebelled against Qin. After the Qin Dynasty was destroyed, Zhao Tuo conquered Guilin and Xiangjun, and established himself as the king of southern Guangdong. Huazhou was ruled by Zhao Tuo, the king of southern Guangdong, for nearly 100 years.
In the fifth year of Yuanding, Emperor Wu of Han Dynasty (112 BC), Zhao Tuo, the king of Nanyue, was destroyed and divided into nine counties, namely daner, zhuya, Nanhai, Cangwu, Yulin, Hepu, Jiaozhi, Jiuzhen and rinan. The address of the governor was Lingyan.
In the Western Han Dynasty, Huazhou was located in Gaoliang County, Hepu County, the Department of history.
In the Eastern Han Dynasty, the first year of emperor Huan's reign (147), Hepu County was divided into Gaoxing County, which was located in Huazhou. In the first year of Jianning (168) of Emperor Ling, Gaoliang county was the happy county, which was abandoned. Today, Huazhou belongs to Gaoliang County of the History Department of jiaozhici. Xiandi Jian'an eight years (203 years) to Jiaozhou governor department for Jiaozhou, now Huazhou territory is Jiaozhou Gaoliang county. During the period of the Three Kingdoms, Wu divided Gaoliang County into Gaoliang county and Gaoxing County in the 25th year of Jian'an (230 years), both of which belong to Guangzhou.
In the Jin Dynasty, Huazhou belonged to Gaoliang county.
In the southern and Northern Dynasties, in the third year of Yuanjia (426), song general Tan Daoji built a stone city at the mouth of Luojiang River and set Luozhou County as Gaoliang County of Guangzhou. Song Dynasty restored happy county in Huazhou and abolished it. Qi then set up happy county, where the county government is located happy county, belonging to Yue State. In the Tang Dynasty, Luozhou was reestablished in the fifth year of Wude (622). It was governed by Shilong (today's Huazhou City) and led by Shilong, Wuchuan, Lingluo, Longhua, luobian, Nanhe, Shicheng, Zhaoyi, Linglu, cilian, Luofei and other 11 counties, belonging to the Lingnan West Road administration. In the fifth year of Wude, Luozhou moved to Shicheng and set up another nanshizhou. It was located in Shilong, lingshilong, Lingluo, Longhua, luobian, cilian and Luofei. Since then, it belongs to county or province or combination. In 635, the name of nanshizhou was changed to bianzhou. Tianbao first year (742) Bian Zhou renamed Lingshui County. Qianyuan first year (758) again called debate state. In the first year of Tianyou (904), Zhu Quanzhong changed his name to Xunzhou by "Bian" and "Bian".
During the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period, in the Southern Han Dynasty, along the Tang Dynasty system, Bian Zhou led Shilong and Lingluo counties.
In the period of Zhao and Song Dynasties, Luozhou was abolished in the fifth year of Kaibao (972), and Wuchuan was taken as the subordinate. Shilong was the provincial mausoleum, and Shilong and Wuchuan were the leading counties. In 980, Bian Zhou was renamed Huazhou. This is the beginning of the name of Huazhou. Shilonggang, a famous stone dragon in Sanli, southwest of the prefecture, was named Huazhou because of its ability to change. In the third year of Qiandao (1167), Wuchuan was identified as Shicheng County. Huazhou led Shilong County, Wuchuan County and Shicheng County. In the third year of Jingyan (1278), the Song Emperor was located in Naozhou, which was upgraded to Xianglong county and Huazhou. Huazhou leads Shilong, Wuchuan, Shicheng and Xianglong counties. In the Northern Song Dynasty, Huazhou belonged to Qingyuan mansion on Guangnan West Road.
In Yuan Dynasty, it was Huazhou Road, leading Shilong, Wuchuan and Shicheng counties, belonging to Huguang xingzhongshu province.
During the Ming Dynasty, in the first year of Hongwu (1368), Huazhou road was changed into Huazhou Prefecture, belonging to Guangdong Province. In the seventh year of Hongwu, Huazhou Prefecture was reduced to Huazhou Prefecture, and Shilong county was incorporated into Huazhou Prefecture. Shilong county was abolished from then on. Huazhou led Wuchuan and Shicheng counties. In the ninth year, Huazhou was reduced to a county, belonging to Gaozhou Prefecture. In the 14th year of Hongwu, the county was changed into a prefecture, still leading Wuchuan and Shicheng counties. Huazhou is under the jurisdiction of the government and the county, and its position is between the government and the county.
During the Qing Dynasty, along the Ming Dynasty system, Huazhou led Wuchuan and Shicheng counties, belonging to Gaozhou Prefecture.
During the period of the Republic of China, Huazhou was changed into Huaxian. In the first year, prefectures and prefectures were abolished, and the county was directly under the Guangdong military government. After the second year of the Republic of China, Hua county successively belonged to Guangdong gaolei Road, South Road Administrative Region, Gaozhou aftercare District, South District appeasement office, and the seventh Administrative Region inspector's office.
After the founding of new China, the people's Government of Hua county was established on November 2, 1949. At first, it belonged to gaolei District, and then to the administrative office of western Guangdong, Zhanjiang district and Zhanjiang district. In November 1958, Huaxian county was merged with Wuchuan County and renamed Huazhou county. In April 1961, Wuchuan County was separated out, still known as Huazhou county. In 1983, Zhanjiang administrative region was withdrawn and the city was in charge of the county. Huazhou county was under the jurisdiction of Maoming City. In 1994, Huazhou county was replaced by Huazhou City, which is still under the jurisdiction of Maoming City.

In November 1958, after Potou (including Potou Town, Qiantang town and nantiao street in Potou District of Zhanjiang City) and Longtou (including Longtou town and Guandu town in Potou District of Zhanjiang City) of Wuchuan County were ceded to the suburbs of Zhanjiang City, small counties were merged into large counties according to geographical, economic and production conditions, and Huaxian county was merged with the rest of Wuchuan County and renamed Huazhou county. In 1961, Lanshi, Longshou and Gaozhan were divided into Wuchuan County and Huazhou county respectively. Huazhou county government is located in Huazhou City, and the former is located in Huazhou county government.
In 2002, Huazhou City had jurisdiction over Dongshan, Hexi and Xiaguo streets and 20 towns including Ligang, Baowei, nanshang, Tongqing, Changqi, Yangmei, Liangguang, Daqiao, Xin'an, Guanqiao, Lanshan, Zhongdong, Pingding, Wenlou, Linchen, Hejiang, Jianghu, Nawu, Boyang and Shiwan.
