Shenchi county is a county under the jurisdiction of Xinzhou City. Located in the Loess Plateau of Northwest Shanxi Province, it spans 111 ° to 112 ° 18 ′ E and 38 ° 56 ′ to 39 ° 24 ′ n. Founded in the spring and Autumn period, it has a long history. The origin of the name

It was Loufan County in Han Dynasty and Shenwu County in Northern Zhou Dynasty. In Ming Dynasty, Shenchi fort was built because of its name. In 1725, the third year of Yongzheng reign of the Qing Dynasty, Shenchi county was established as Ningwu Prefecture. According to the records of Wenchang temple in Ming Dynasty, "Ningwu is far from huanghualing in the north, where there are overlapping mountains and wudaoqiupan.
