Delingha "Delingha" means "golden world" in Mongolian.
Founded in 1988, Delingha city is the capital of Haixi Mongolian and Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Qinghai Province. It is the political, educational, scientific, technological and cultural center of the whole Prefecture, and also the center of Eastern Haixi Economic Zone. Delingha has jurisdiction over three streets, three towns and one Township, with a total area of 27700 square kilometers. The urban area is 2980 meters above sea level. By 2018, there are 73100 permanent residents, including 19 ethnic groups including Mongolia, Tibet, Hui, salar, Tu and Han, with Mongolia as the main ethnic minority.
There are 16 kinds of mineral resources and 65 ore deposits found in Delingha City, of which the proven reserves of limestone are more than 700 million tons, with high utilization value. Gahai Lake, 30 kilometers south of the city, is rich in natural Artemia resources. In 2013, Delingha's annual GDP reached 4.96 billion yuan. Keluke Lake, 40 kilometers west of the city, is rich in grass carp, carp, crucian carp, sluice crab, shrimp and other aquatic products. There are Baishu mountain, Heishishan reservoir, "alien ruins", huaitou Tala rock paintings, "Danli Lake" and other tourist attractions.
In December 2017, the State Commission for democracy and people's livelihood named the fifth batch of national demonstration areas for national unity and progress. On September 25, 2018, it won the honorary title of "2018 e-commerce into rural comprehensive demonstration county" of the Ministry of Commerce. On September 29, 2018, the people's Government of Qinghai province gave an official reply and issued an announcement, approving Delingha city to withdraw from the poverty-stricken county after taking off the top of the 2017 annual plan. In October 2020, it was rated as the national model city (county) of double support.
Evolution of organizational system
In the 13th century, Mongolia rose, destroyed the Jin Dynasty and the Song Dynasty, and established the Mongol Yuan Empire. Delingha was also placed under the rule of the Yuan Dynasty and was under the jurisdiction of xuanzhengyuan.
In Ming Dynasty, it was under the jurisdiction of Han Dong Wei, and later it was under the jurisdiction of Mongolian tribes.
Qing Dynasty is under the jurisdiction of Qinghai Mongolia North Left Banner and North Right Banner.
In the Republic of China, it belonged to Dulan county.
In 1955, Delingha Working Committee was set up from Dulan county.
In 1958, the working committee was abolished and Delingha county (in bayinhe) was established.
In 1962, the county was withdrawn and merged into Wulan county.

On April 19, 1988, the Ministry of Civil Affairs approved five townships of Delingha town and Wulan County, namely, huaitoutala, Gobi, Golimu, Zongwulong and Xuji, as the administrative regions of Delingha city.
By the end of 1999, Delingha had jurisdiction over five townships, namely, Chuji, Zongwulong, huaitoutala, Gobi and Golimu. City Government in Hexi (Zongwulong Township jurisdiction). There are also Delingha, Gahai, huaitoutara and bayinhe state-owned farms.
In 2000, Delingha had jurisdiction over five townships and six neighborhood committees including Renmin Road, Jianguo Road, railway station, Wenhua Road, Kunlun road and Qunan road. Each township: Zongwulong Township, guolimu Township, Xuji Township, Gobi Township, huaitoutala Township, Hexi virtual street, Hedong Qingxin Road North virtual street, Hedong Qingxin Road South virtual street.
On February 21, 2001, the people's Government of Qinghai province gave an official reply: abolishing huaitoutala Township and establishing huaitoutala town; abolishing guolimu Township and establishing Gahai town (the town government is located in Gahai).

In 2005, Delingha city adjusted the township administrative divisions
1. Gobi township was abolished, and Keluke town was established and named. The town government was relocated to haomendu Valley, where the former Delingha farm was located. The three villages of Minxing, Minle and Pingyuan in Gahai town were put under the jurisdiction of Keluke Town, and the village management system was implemented.
2. Zongwulong township was abolished. Baishuihe village, bayinhedong village, bayinhexi village, bayinhezhong village and Gannan village of the former Zongwulong township are put under the jurisdiction of Hexi sub district office; Dongshan village of the former Zongwulong township is put under the jurisdiction of Hedong sub district office; Hongguang Village of the former Zongwulong township is put under the jurisdiction of railway station sub District Office; and three villages of the former Zongwulong township are put under the jurisdiction of Chuji township.
