Jiexiu Jiexiu is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Shanxi Province, managed by Jinzhong City, located in the south central part of Shanxi Province, north of Taihang Mountain. The ground span is between 111 ° 44 ′ 10 ″ - 112 ° 10 ′ 14 ″ E and 36 ° 50 ′ 01 ″ - 37 ° 11 ′ 04 ″ n. It is 38.5 km wide from east to west and 38 km long from north to south, with a total area of 744 square kilometers, accounting for 0.47% of the total area of the province. Jiexiu has a warm temperate continental climate. By 2019, Jiexiu City has 5 streets, 7 towns and 3 townships, and the municipal government is located in Beiguan Street.

In September 1999, the State Council approved the abolition of Jinzhong region and the establishment of prefecture level Jinzhong City. Jiexiu City at the county level was changed to be directly under the jurisdiction of Shanxi Province and administered by prefecture level Jinzhong City. The South Tongpu railway and the Xiaoliu railway are separated in the territory, and the Daxi high-speed railway runs through the whole territory.
In 2019, Jiexiu's GDP will reach 24.48 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.7%; the general public budget revenue will reach 2.13 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.5%.

In the spring and Autumn period, in the sixth year of the Marquis of the Jin and e dynasties (718 B.C.), the Marquis of Quwo village came to the east of Jiexiu City. During the reign of Wengong and Xianggong of Jin Dynasty, they were the food cities of the association of officials and scholars. In the 12th year of Qinggong (514 BC), the state of Jin divided Qi's land into seven counties. Wu County was first set up in the territory, and Sima MIMU was granted the title of Wu doctor. The county government was located in wuchengdian village, donghulong township.
At the beginning of the Warring States period, Han, Zhao and Wei were divided into Jin, Wu County belonged to Wei state, and Pingzhou city was set up in the West.
In the Qin Dynasty, Jiexiu county was first set up, and it belonged to Taiyuan county with Wu County.
In the Western Han Dynasty, it belonged to Taiyuan County, the thorn envoy Department of Bingzhou. Pingzhou city was renamed Pingzhou County, belonging to Xihe county. Xinmang changed Jiexiu to Jiemei, and in the Eastern Han Dynasty it was renamed Jiexiu. Pingzhou County abandoned.
During the Three Kingdoms period, Jiexiu belonged to Xihe County of Bingzhou, and Wu County belonged to Taiyuan county.
In the Western Jin Dynasty, Jiexiu was changed into Jiexiu, belonging to Xihe state, and Wu County belonged to Taiyuan state. In the first year of Yongxing (304), Jiexiu City was conquered by Liu Yuanjun. Since then, there have been long-term wars and chaos among ethnic minorities in the north, and the main genera of Jiexiu region have changed indefinitely, and there were no counties or cities in the period of establishment.
In 484, Jiexiu county was restored to Xihe County of tujing town. Taihe 19 years of the Northern Wei Dynasty (495 years), the restoration of Wu County, is Bingzhou Taiyuan county. In the second year of Xiaochang (526) of the Northern Wei Dynasty, Xihe county was conquered by the uprising army of six towns, and Jiexiu county was also conquered. During the reign of Yong'an in the Northern Wei Dynasty (528-529), Jiexiu county was located at the border of Jijun (now Weihui City in Henan Province), belonging to five cities of Sizhou county.
In the period of Tianping (534-537) of the Eastern Wei Dynasty, Emperor Xiaojing sent Shuozhou soldiers to guard Jiexiu town and established it as nanshuozhou, but led soldiers, not counties. The overseas Chinese in the county were set up in Pingchang County, dingyang County, and settled in Jiexiu for more than 30 years. After the Tianbao period of the Northern Qi Dynasty (550), Wu County was abandoned. Jiexiu county was established in the first year of xuanzheng (578) of the Northern Zhou Dynasty. In 579, Jiexiu county was changed into Pingchang County, belonging to Jiexiu county.
In the early years of kaihuang of Sui Dynasty, Jiexiu county was abolished, and Pingchang County belonged to Xihe county. In 590, Lingshi County was located in the southwest of the county. Kaihuang eighteen years (598), Pingchang County renamed Jiexiu County, Xihe county. In 618, the first year of the Sui Dynasty, Jiexiu county was restored.

In the Ming Dynasty, the first year of Hongwu (1368), it belonged to Fenzhou, Shanxi Province. In the 23rd year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1595), it was the Fenzhou capital of Shanxi Province.
In the Qing Dynasty, it was the capital of Fenzhou in Shanxi Province.
The first year of the Republic of China (1912) belongs to Shanxi Province. In 1915, it belonged to Jining road. In 1930, it belonged to Shanxi Province. In 1943, Jiexiu unified Committee was set up in the commander's headquarters of the second world war area under the rule of Yan Xishan. It was stationed in the countryside of Xiaoyi county and belonged to the unified Committee of Xiaoyi county (equivalent to a special office). In December 1937, Jiexiu Anti Japanese county government was established, which belongs to the fourth administrative region of Shanxi Province. After the "December incident", it belonged to the Luxi Office of the third administrative region of Shanxi Province. In February 1944, it belonged to the Taiyue special office; in May, it belonged to the third office of the Taiyue special office; in August, it belonged to the ninth special office of the Shanxi Hebei Shandong Henan border region. In Ming Dynasty, Fangli system was implemented in the whole county. In the city, Fangli system was adopted. In the near city, Xiangli system was adopted. Each Fangli system was classified into 10 Jia. Each neighborhood has a head of household. According to the first levy land taxes, apportioned officers. The county is 45 square miles. In the 27th year of Wanli (1599), the county magistrate, Shi Jishi, merged 45 Fangli into 24 Fangli.
In the early Qing Dynasty, the Ming system was still followed. In the ninth year of Shunzhi (1652), 24 Fangli were merged into 12 Fangli.
After 1918, the county was divided into four districts. After the Japanese occupied Jiexiu, the former four district offices were withdrawn to the Anti Japanese base. At the end of 1939, Jiexiu Anti Japanese county government divided the whole county into eight districts. In 1941, Tiebei was assigned to pingjie County, the Fourth District of the county. In 1942, Tienan district and fenhedong District of Lingshi County merged to form Jieling United County, which was divided into eight districts, four in Lingshi and four in Jiexiu. In 1943, Jieling United county was divided into four districts. In October 1948, the original four districts of Jiexian County in tiebeiping were returned to the Fifth District of Jiexiu County, and Chengguan District was newly established, with six districts in the county.
In 1950, the Fifth District was abolished, and its administrative villages Leshan, sangliushu, kongjiabao, Zhongjie, Lishi and wanhubao were assigned to the second district; songnao, Hongshan, xiduantun, song'an, SHANGZHAN, nanqiaotou, Manau, sandaohe, Hantun, Liangji, zhaojiabao, luowangzhuang and beizhangjiazhuang were assigned to the third district; xiliutun, Tiancun, Wangcun, shitunbei, Guobi, qintun, Bai'an, Yitang and Sunchang were assigned to the third district Village, sunchangbao, xiaosongqu, Baishui, Wan'an, dongneifeng and Dongbao are divided into four districts. In November, the name of the commune was named after the residence.
In 1959, the scope of the commune was gradually narrowed, and the whole county was increased to 23 people's communes, with 614 administrative areas under its jurisdiction.
In 1960, it was transformed into 21 people's communes, and eight Street management areas were set up at the same time.
On February 1, 1961, 111 management areas were transformed into 261 production teams, under which there were several production teams (also known as teams). After the separation of the three counties in April of the same year, there were eight people's communes in Jiexiu County, which were later changed into 16 people's communes.
