Daxing District, formerly known as ancient Jixian County, was named after Jicheng area. Jixian county should be a county in the pre Qin Dynasty, which was built by the state of Yan in the spring and Autumn period and Warring States period. In the first year of Huitong (938), Jixian County was renamed Jibei County, which belonged to Youdu Prefecture; in the first year of Kaitai (1012), Jibei county was renamed Xijin County, which belonged to Xijin Prefecture, which belonged to Guojing County in Nanjing. In the fifth to seventh year of Xuanhe of Song Dynasty (1123-1125), Xijin County belonged to the Song Dynasty and belonged to Yanshan Prefecture. In the Jin Dynasty, in 1154, Jiejin county was renamed Daxing County. Daxing District, formerly known as ancient Jixian County, was named after Jicheng area. Jixian county should be a county in the pre Qin Dynasty, which was built by the state of Yan in the spring and Autumn period and Warring States period.
In the 23rd year of the first emperor of Qin Dynasty (224 BC), the Qin Dynasty set up Guangyang County in Jicheng area, which belongs to Jixian County.
From Han Dynasty to Sui, Tang and Five Dynasties, the organizational system of Jixian always existed.
In the Western Han Dynasty, Jixian successively belonged to Yan state, Yan County, Guangyang county and Guangyang state.
In the late Han Dynasty (9-24 years), Jixian changed its name to varong County, which belonged to Guangyou county. After the fall of Wangmang new dynasty, Jixian was restored.
In the Eastern Han Dynasty, Jixian County successively belonged to Guangyang state, Guangyang County, Shanggu county and Guangyang county.

In 1421, the capital of Ming Dynasty was moved to Beijing, and Daxing was yiguojing county.
In the Qing Dynasty, Daxing was still yiguojing County, subordinate to shuntianfu.
During the period of the Republic of China, in October 1914, shuntianfu was changed to Jingzhao, and Daxing belonged to it. In June 1928, Daxing County was assigned to Hebei Province. In September of the same year, Daxing County was designated as a special county. In January 1929, Daxing County was immediately reduced to a second-class county. Before the July 7th incident in 1937, he was subordinate to the third special region of Hebei Province. During the period from July 1937 to August 1945, Daxing County was subordinate to Jinhai Road and Yanjing road in Hebei Province. Before August 1949, Pingnan County and Daxing County, founded by the Communist Party of China, were subordinate to the tenth special area of central Hebei. In August 1949, Daxing County was assigned to Tongxian District of Hebei Province.
After the founding of the people's Republic of China in October 1949, Daxing County still belonged to Tongxian district.
In March 1958, Daxing County was transferred to Beijing, and Jiugong, Yizhuang, Yinghai, Xihongmen, which were originally located in Nanyuan District of Beijing, were transferred to Daxing District.
In January 1960, the county system was restored.
