Zhengning county is subordinate to Qingyang City, Gansu Province. It is located in the southeast of Qingyang City and the West foot of Ziwuling mountain. It is bounded by Huangling County of Shaanxi Province in the East, Xunyi County of Shaanxi Province in the south, Binxian County of Shaanxi Province in the southwest, Changwu County of Shaanxi Province in the west, Jinghe River in the west, Ningxian County of Gansu Province in the north. Its geographical coordinates are 35 ° 14 ′ 40 ″ - 35 ° 36 ′ 18 ″ N and 107 ° 56 ″ E The county covers an area of 1330.9648 square kilometers. Zhengning County governs 4 towns and 6 townships (at the end of 2011), including 7 communities, 94 villages and 677 villager groups, with a total population of 239600 (in 2012).
In 2018, the GDP of Zhengning county was 2.811 billion yuan, which was 7.5% higher than that of 2017 at comparable prices. Among them, the added value of the primary industry was 528 million yuan, that of the secondary industry was 287 million yuan, and that of the tertiary industry was 1.996 billion yuan, up 5.2%, 7.2% and 8.1% respectively.
In October 2018, Gansu provincial government issued a notice officially approving Zhengning county to withdraw from the poverty-stricken county sequence. In March 2019, it was listed as the first batch of revolutionary cultural relics protection and utilization area sub County list.
Evolution of organizational system
As early as the Middle Paleolithic period, the ancestors of Zhengning had been slash and burn farming, and had multiplied. It is one of the birthplaces of the Chinese nation.
During the reign of Xia Yu, the world was divided into nine states. Zhengning belonged to Xirong, Yongzhou.
During the reign of Kongjia in the Xia Dynasty, the state was established in Beichen (now Qingcheng county seat), which is Zhengning.
In Xia Jie (Lu GUI) years, Gongliu, the ancestor of Zhou tribe, established the state of Chen, which belonged to Zhengning.
In the early Shang Dynasty, Zhengning still belonged to Chen state. At the end of Shang Dynasty, the Zhou tribe moved southward to Zhouyuan of Qishan, and the land of Chen was occupied by Canrong. The people of Rong established the state of yiqurong, which belongs to Zhengning. Since the end of the Western Zhou Dynasty, the state of yiqurong has been fighting against the strong Qin for more than 500 years.
In the 45th year of King Nan of Zhou Dynasty (270 BC), qurong state was destroyed in Qin Dynasty, and the county was under the jurisdiction of Beidi county and Shangjun county. In the 35th year of the first emperor of Qin Dynasty (212 BC), Mengtian built a straight road. In the 37th year of the first emperor of Qin Dynasty (210 BC), the straight road was rough, reaching 70 kilometers in the county.
In the Han Dynasty, the establishment of dule and yangtui counties was the beginning of Zhengning. In the first year of Yuanfeng (110 BC), Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty led an army of 180000 people to pass through the county along the Zhidao Road, leaving Shuofang to win over Xiongnu, and worshipping the Yellow Emperor in Qiaoshan. In the first year of the founding of the people's Republic of China (9 BC), Wang Mang changed Yang Zhou to shanglingwan. In the Eastern Han Dynasty, dule County, Yangzhou county and Xichuan County were set up.
During the period of the Three Kingdoms and two Jin Dynasties, the tribes attacked, the princes merged, and the county ownership changed repeatedly.
At the end of the northern and Southern Dynasties, dule County, Yangzhou county and anding County belonged to ningzhou.
Sui kaihuang eighteen years (598), because Luoshui from Sichuan, so more Yang Zhou for Luochuan, belongs to ningzhou.
In the early Tang Dynasty, Luochuan belonged to daoning state in Guannei. In the first year of Tianbao (742), Tang Xuanzong's dream group of immortals appeared in "Luodi". He sent envoys to dig 27 Yuzhen portraits and a heart star in Luochuan County. Taking the meaning of "human tranquility", he changed Luochuan into Zhenning. Later, Li Heng, Emperor suzong of Tang Dynasty, avoided the "an Shi rebellion" here.
In Song Dynasty, Zhenning calendar belonged to Yongxing Junlu ningzhou, Shaanxi Luning, Huanqing Luning, Qingyang Junjie and Xingning Junjie.
Jintiande two years (1150), Zhenning is Qingyuan Road ningzhou.
The Yuan Dynasty belongs to ningzhou, the commander-in-chief of gongchang road in Shaanxi Province.
In the ninth year of Hongwu (1376) of Ming Dynasty, it belonged to ningzhou, Qingyang Prefecture, Shaanxi Province; in the 29th year of Wanli (1601), it belonged to siqingyang Prefecture, Shaanxi Province.
In 1669, it belonged to Qingyang Prefecture of Gansu Province; in 1723, it was changed to Zhengning to avoid the taboo of emperor Shizong. The name of Zhengning began to appear in history.
In 1913, it belonged to Longdong Road, Gansu Province; in 1927, it belonged to the office of administrative inspector of Jingyuan district; in 1936, it belonged to the office of administrative inspector of the third district of Gansu Province.
On July 27, 1949, Zhengning county was liberated, belonging to Qingyang District of Gansu administrative office.
In December 1958, it was incorporated into Ningxian county.
In January 1962, Zhengning county was restored.
