Qiongjie County qiongjie county (Tibetan: འྱོངས་駜ྒྱ཯཯ྫོང, Tibetan Pinyin: qonggyai, Willie: 'phyongsrgyasrdzong) is located in the southeast of Tibet Autonomous Region of the people's Republic of China, in the middle of Shannan city. Historical evolution

Qiongjie, in Tibetan, means "the corner of the house hangs in many layers". after the death of the eighth generation of Tibetan kings, they were buried in Qingyu and the first Tomb of Tibetan kings was built. from the ninth generation to the 15th generation of Zanpu period, six royal palaces were built on qiongjie Qingwa mountain. During the period of gaxia government in Tibet, qiongjie was a large group under the jurisdiction of Shannan Jiqiao. In 1957, qiongjiezong was changed to qiongjiexian. In June 1959, qiongjie county was established under the jurisdiction of Shannan special region, and the county government was stationed in qiongjie town. In 1960, it was under the jurisdiction of Shannan District. in February 2016, Shannan city was established, and qiongjie county was under the jurisdiction of Shannan city.
