Maitreya Maitreya is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture of Yunnan Province, which is located in the southeast of Yunnan Province and the north of Honghe Prefecture. Historical evolution
In the Western Han Dynasty, the northeast part of Maitreya was Tongbing County, and the southwest part was lugao County, which belonged to Jue county and Yizhou county respectively.
During the northern and Southern Dynasties, the territory is Xilong, which belongs to Nanning.
In the early Tang Dynasty, it was called QuanMa county and belonged to Langzhou. After Tianbao of Tang Dynasty, it belonged to Nanzhao.
In Dali of Song Dynasty, Maitreya, one of the thirty-seven tribes of wuman in dongcuan, belonged to Shicheng County (the county was governed by Qujing).
In the early Yuan Dynasty, Maitreya was subordinate to luowanhu (now Shilin). In 1275, qianhuzong was set up, which was subordinate to Guangxi Road (now Luxi). In 1290, Maitreya Prefecture was set up.
Ming Hongzhi ten years (1497) to set up the flow of land, under the Guangxi government (now Luxi).
