Weishi County Weishi County is located in the eastern plain of Henan Province, belongs to Kaifeng City, Henan Province. Historical evolution
Weishi County has a long history. As early as 7000-8000 years ago, there was human labor here. In the spring and Autumn period, it was the state prison of Zheng. It was the city where the Wei family, the official of the prison, collected food. Therefore, it was named Wei family and has been followed up to now. In 219 BC, the first emperor of Qin set up a county, which experienced division and abandonment.
Weishi County was established in the third year of the first emperor of Qin Dynasty. In ancient times, the official of the prison called Wei Shi. Today, Wei Shi was originally called "the other prison of Zheng" and took this place as the food city. People also call this city Wei Shi. According to the book of Han Dynasty, it is said that "the city of Wei's family, the official of Zheng, is therefore regarded as the city."
In the spring and Autumn period, it was Zheng Guoju. The Wei family, a senior official, was appointed as the prison official. The place was the city where food was taken. The name of the city was inherited from the prison official's surname. During the Warring States period, the Wei family belonged to Liangdi, and the Qin Dynasty set up the county. Han Dynasty inherited the system of Qin Dynasty. Wei family belonged to Chenliu county. In the Three Kingdoms period, it belonged to Wei Prefecture, which was under the jurisdiction of Yanzhou Chenliu county. In the Western Jin Dynasty, it belonged to Yanzhou Chenliu state. In the last years of emperor Hui, Chenliu county was changed to Jianchang County, which belonged to Luozhou.
The Northern Wei Dynasty belongs to Chenliu County of Liangzhou. At the beginning of Emperor Wen's reign in Xing'an, Wei's family was incorporated into Yuanling (the old city is in the northeast of Xinzheng). In the third year of Tai'an (457), the Wei family was restored in the yuan mausoleum. The Eastern Wei Dynasty belongs to Kaifeng County of Liangzhou. Later, Qi abolished Wei's family and entered Yuanling. In 586, Sui kaihuang divided Yuanling and set Wei's family back to Yingchuan county.
In the second year of Wude (619) of Tang Dynasty, Wang Shichong was named emperor by Sui Dynasty. In 621, the fourth year of Wude in the Tang Dynasty, King Ping Shichong changed Weizhou into Shezhou, which belonged to Chenliu County of bianzhou. The Wei family belonged to Kaifeng Prefecture in Tokyo and Xuanwu army in bianzhou in the later Tang Dynasty. Later Jin Dynasty and later Zhou Dynasty belonged to Kaifeng Prefecture in Tokyo.
The Northern Song Dynasty belonged to Kaifeng Prefecture in Jingji Road, and the Jin Dynasty inherited the Song Dynasty system, belonging to Kaifeng Prefecture in Nanjing (today's Kaifeng City). Yuan Dynasty belonged to Bianliang Road, Ming Dynasty belonged to Kaifeng, Henan Chengshi, so did Qing Dynasty.
In 1913 it belonged to Yudong road of Henan Province, in 1914 it belonged to Kaifeng Road, and in 1927 it directly belonged to Henan provincial government. In 1928, there was an administrative region under the province, and Weishi belonged to the first administrative region (now Zhengzhou City).
After 1949, it initially belonged to Chenliu special area, and was merged into Zhengzhou special area in 1952. In 1954, the provincial capital was moved from Bian to Zhengzhou, and Kaifeng was even more special. In 1958, Tongxu and Weishi counties were merged and named Weishi County; in 1962, Weishi and Tongxu were separated. In August 1983, Kaifeng District was withdrawn, and Wei family belonged to Kaifeng City.

The coal resources of Weishi County are mainly distributed in the four regions of Jichuan, Sanshi, Xiaozhuang and Xingzhuang, with a total coal reserve of 1 billion tons.
