Ludian County Ludian County is one of the counties under the jurisdiction of Zhaotong City, Yunnan Province. It is located in the northeast of Yunnan Province, the south of Zhaotong City and the North Bank of Niulan river. The county is 50 km from east to west and 60 km from north to south, with a total area of 1519 square kilometers, of which 87.9% is in mountainous area and 12.1% is in dam area.
As of 2013, Ludian County has jurisdiction over 10 towns, 2 townships (including 2 ethnic townships), 4 neighborhood committees and 80 administrative villages. The county government is located in Wenping town. The vertical climate change in Ludian County is obvious, with no severe heat in summer and no severe cold in winter. The average annual temperature is 12.1 ℃, the annual frost free period is 220 days, and the average annual precipitation is 900 mm. There are silver, lead, copper, sulfur, coal, phosphorus and other mineral deposits, Lemachang silver mine in the territory.
Ludian County is the main production county of wax insect in China, walnut and high-quality flue-cured tobacco in Yunnan Province, and sheep, pig and cattle base in Yunnan Province. Famous local products Xiaozhai cherry, Longtoushan pepper, suoshan green pepper. On May 17, 2020, it will officially withdraw from the poverty-stricken counties.
On July 29, 2020, it was named as the National Health township (county) of 2017-2019 cycle by the National Patriotic Health Campaign Committee.
Historical evolution
It got its name from Ludian mountain. Ludian is a place name in Yi language. Lu (Nuo) is the title of Yi people, Dian (DI) means Pingdi, shuicaobazi, which means Pingba where Yi people live. In ancient times, there was zhutishan in Ludian, which was famous for its silver production.
In the sixth year of Jianyuan (135 BC) of the Western Han Dynasty, it was Zhuti County of Qianwei county.
In the Eastern Han Dynasty, Zhuti county was established in the 20th year of Jian'an (215), named after Zhuti mountain.
From Shuhan to Western Jin Dynasty, the Three Kingdoms belonged to Zhuti County of Yizhou.
From the Eastern Jin Dynasty to the Southern Dynasties, Liang belonged to Nanguang County of ningzhou.
The Northern Zhou Dynasty belonged to Nanning.
In the kaihuang period of Sui Dynasty, it belonged to the general manager's office of Nanning Prefecture, which governed Gongzhou. In the Daye period, it belonged to Qianwei county.
In the early Tang Dynasty, it belonged to Rongzhou, Jiannan Dao, and governed Quzhou. Nanzhao of Tang Dynasty belonged to Wumeng Department of Tuodong Jiedu.
Song Dynasty belongs to Wumeng part of Tongchuan Fu Road.
In the 13th year of the Yuan Dynasty, it belonged to Wumeng road; in the 21st year, it belonged to WUSA Wumeng military and civilian Xuanfu department; in the 24th year, it belonged to WUSA Wumeng Xuanwei department.
In Ming Dynasty, it was called Wumeng Prefecture, which was transferred to Sichuan Province.
In the 15th year of Hongwu (1382), Wumeng road was changed to Wumeng Prefecture, which belonged to Yunnan chief secretary; Guihua Prefecture was changed to Wumeng Prefecture, which belonged to xunwai; in the 16th year of Hongwu (1383), it was changed to Sichuan chief secretary; in the 17th year of Hongwu (1384), it was changed to Wumeng military and civilian Prefecture. During this period, Ludian was called xiaowumeng.
In the second year of the Republic of China (1913), it was changed to Ludian County, belonging to the Middle Yunnan Road.
In the sixth year of the Republic of China, Ludian County was divided into North District 1 and North District 2, West District 1 and West District 2, and Ludian County was divided into seven districts.
In 1929, Ludian County became the capital of Yunnan Province.
In 1930, Ludian County was divided into districts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, with jurisdiction over 11 towns and 79 townships.
In 1938, Ludian County was divided into five districts, four towns and 13 townships.
In 1939, Ludian district was withdrawn and expanded to four towns and six townships with jurisdiction over 124 Baotou.
In 1940, Ludian changed Chongwen town to Wenping Town, Wenxian town to Guzhai Town, Yuxian town to suoshan Town, Datong township to Nanyan Township, and Muhua township to linqiao Township, with the jurisdiction of 124 bao1317a. District reconstruction department.
In 1942, Ludian County was the first administrative supervision district of Yunnan Province (in Zhaotong county).
On April 26, 1950, the people's Government of Ludian County was established, which belongs to Zhaotong district.
On September 13, 1960, the 103rd plenary session of the State Council adopted: to abolish Ludian County and merge the former administrative region of Ludian County into Zhaotong county (in November 1958).
On September 14, 1963, the 135th plenary session of the State Council decided to restore Ludian County. The administrative areas of Ludian County are the former administrative areas of Ludian County merged in Zhaotong County, except the four people's communes of Ma Lu, Su Jia, Shui Tun and Jiu Fang, and the seven villages of zujiabao, Ma Anshan, banbanfang, Chenjiawan, majiayuanzi, yangjiataizi and longjiataizi in Yongfeng District of Zhaotong county.
In 1970, Zhaotong district was changed to Zhaotong District, and Ludian County belongs to Zhaotong district.
In August 2001, Zhaotong City was set up, and Ludian County belongs to Zhaotong City.
In 1997, Ludian County governed one town and 13 townships: Wenping Town, Ciyuan Hui Township, Taoyuan Hui Township, Dashuijing Township, Xiaozhai Township, Longtoushan Township, Lehong Township, Cuiping Township, huodehong Township, Longshu Township, Xinjie Township, Shuimo Township, Tiechang Township and suoshan township. The county government is located in Wenping town.
According to the fifth census in 2000, the total population of Ludian County is 345740, including 34607 in Wenping Town, 45770 in Taoyuan Township, 24194 in Ciyuan Township, 19067 in Xiaozhai Township, 28128 in Dashuijing Township, 16890 in huodehong Township, 29249 in Longtoushan Township, 14741 in Cuiping Township, 31116 in Longshu Township, 15155 in Xinjie Township, 27006 in suoshan Township, 28467 in Lehong Township, 16837 in Shuimo Township and 1 in Tiechang township 4513.
In 2002, Ludian County governed 1 town, 11 townships and 2 ethnic townships: Wenping Town, Xiaozhai Township, Dashuijing Township, huodehong Township, Longtoushan Township, Cuiping Township, Lehong Township, Longshu Township, Shuimo Township, Tiechang Township, Xinjie Township, suoshan Township, Taoyuan Hui Township and Ciyuan Hui Township. There are 82 village committees. The total number of households in the county is 86000, with a total population of 362000, including 79000 agricultural households and 345000 agricultural population. The minority population accounts for about 20% of the total population, most of which are Hui.
In 2006, Tiechang Township and Shuimo Township were abolished, and Shuimo town was established. The newly established Shuimo town was under the jurisdiction of the former Tiechang Township and Shuimo Township, and the town government was stationed in the former Tiechang township; Longtoushan Township and Cuiping Township were abolished, and Longtoushan town was established. The newly established Longtoushan town was under the jurisdiction of the former Longtoushan Township and Cuiping Township, and the town government was stationed in the former Longtoushan township The village committees of malugou in Dashuijing Township and puzhilu and Yandong in Taoyuan Hui Township were put under the jurisdiction of Wenping town (approved by the provincial government on January 20, 2006). Wenping town

Shuimo
Area: 268.63 square kilometers, population: 35000, zip code: 657109, jurisdiction over 10 administrative villages: Shuimo, Xinpeng, Heilu, Tuoma, Yantou, Tiechang, campsite, Songping, huangnizhai, Dishui. The town government is stationed in the iron works. It was the seventh district in 1951. Shuimo commune was established in 1958, changed to district in 1962, rebuilt to commune in 1969, changed to district in 1983, and changed to Shuimo Township in 1988. Longtoushan town
