Dushan County, belonging to Qiannan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture of Guizhou Province, is located in the southernmost part of Guizhou Province, bordering Nandan county of Guangxi. It is the only way for Guizhou Province and even the southwest to enter the sea of Guangdong and Guangxi. It is known as "the South Gate of Guizhou" and "the southwest gate". It is an important town in the south of Guizhou, and also an open front connecting the central and eastern regions in the western region.
Dushan County covers a total area of 2442.2 square kilometers. In the Republic of China, Dushan county was set up, and sanjiaotunzhoudong was divided into Sanhe county. Later, it was the seat of the Commissioner's office of the second administrative supervision district among the eight administrative supervision districts in Guizhou Province. At that time, it was the fourth largest city in Guizhou Province and the fourteenth largest City in the Kuomintang controlled area.
After liberation on November 19, 1949, the second administrative supervision area of Guizhou Province was changed into Dushan special area. In 1957, Dushan County, Libo County and Pingtang county (part) were merged. In 1961, the three counties were separated and used in Dushan county.
