Yangming District Yangming district is under the jurisdiction of Mudanjiang city. It is located in the east of Mudanjiang city. The administrative area of Yangming district is 1345 square kilometers. It governs Tieling Town, Hualin Town, Wulin Town, modaoshi Town, and Yangming and Qianjin streets. In 2013, the total population of the region was 253000, including 137000 agricultural population. Yangming district has Jingpo Lake and other famous scenic spots.
Historical evolution
After the fall of Northeast China, it was once a part of Yehe District of Mudanjiang city,
In 1942, it was changed into Hanyang special division.
After the victory of the Anti Japanese war in 1945, Yangming district was set up to govern two streets and two administrative villages.
In May 1948, Yangming district was abolished and the original streets and rural areas were put under the jurisdiction of Qixing district and Tieling district respectively.
At the beginning of 1970, Qianjin people's commune was established in Dongfeng district and Aimin District, and it was changed into Yangming District in October of the same year.
In April 1980, the provincial government officially approved the establishment of Yangming district.
