Leishan County Leishan County, belonging to Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture of Guizhou Province, is located in the southwest of Qiandongnan Prefecture, adjacent to Taijiang, Jianhe and Rongjiang counties in the East, Sandu Shui Autonomous County of Qiannan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in the south, Danzhai County in the West and Kaili City in the North. Leishan county has a long history. The main tourist scenic spots in the territory include langdeshang village, the hometown of Chinese folk art and the national key cultural relics protection unit, Xijiang Qianhu Miao village, the first Miao village in China, ZHANGAO village, the birthplace of Tonggu, Wudong village, the most beautiful Miao village in China, Xinqiao village, a hundred year old granary on the water and other ethnic tourist villages. On April 24, 2019, Guizhou Provincial People's government officially approved Leishan county to withdraw from the poverty-stricken county sequence.

Historical evolution

In Hongwu year of Ming Dynasty, there were eight guards in Zhenyuan, Qinglang, Tonggu, wukai, Pianqiao, Guzhou, Qingping and Xinglong.

In the 11th year of Yongle (1413), xuanweisi such as Sizhou was abolished, and four prefectures, namely Sizhou, Zhenyuan, Liping and Xinhua, were set up, which were subordinate to the Chief Secretary of Guizhou.

In the ninth year of Xuande (1434), Huafu was replaced by Liping Fu.

During the reign of Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty, Zhenyuan, Pianqiao and Qingping were merged into Zhenyuan, Shibing and Qingping counties respectively, and Xinglong Wei was merged into Huangping Prefecture. Qing Yongzheng seven years (1729), home Danjiang office in Danjiang (now old Danjiang), Duyun house. Tongzhi 11 years (1872), moved to Danjiang hall in zhaoqingbao (now the county).

In 1913, Danjiang hall was changed to Danjiang County, belonging to Qianzhong road. In 1941, Danjiang county was abolished and merged into Taigong and bazhai counties. In 1944, Leishan was set up as the first administrative supervision district.

In 1950, Leishan county was changed into Leishan County, which is still in use today.

In 2013, Guizhou Provincial People's government qianfuhan [2013] No. 119 agreed to abolish Datang Township and Taojiang township of Leishan County, merge Datang Town, take the former Datang Township and Taojiang township as the administrative area of Datang Town, and the town people's government is located in Xinqiao village.
